  1. Have the next two days free to go fishing. With the forcasted 30km/hr winds where should I go? It will be way to windy for lake O, Gbay, simcoe. Was thinking of going to the muskokas for Pike and walleye. Any thoughts? Thanks guys
  2. Nice! good to hear you got into some fish. Went out to sturgeon today for a few hours after some great whitie fishing on simcoe. Lets just say the wallaye didnt like our lures on sturgeon today. Only a few OOS bass. Oh wel, all the whities and lakers satisfied my fish catching needs of the day. I always find kawartha walleye to be much more avtive once the water temps get over 60 and the weedlines are more defined
  3. thanks alot guys. I will be heading out tomorrow with johny bass to chase some eyes and maybe some whities so will have a report up on thursday. wish me luck
  4. thanks for all the kind words guys. Ill be heading out tomorrow for yet another opener. And Im done school for good so will be fishing like crazy until i get a job

  9. Hey guys, Im finally finished school so have time to make reports again. Thank God My buddy Bon and I hit Simcoe two weeks ago for some early season perchin. It was an awesome day. We managed to catch around 75 perch. 40 of them were between 10-13” and my bud got a 14.5” Hog. Heres a pic of the Hog. It was a great day draggin jigs around for perch and alot of action is always good for people new to fishing. I was planning a three day trip up to Gbay for Pike opener but the Numnuts at school messed up my marks so I had to cancel to sort things out. Managed to get out for the day this Tuesday. Took my bud Rob out for his first real day fishing and boy was it a good one. It was a gorgeous day but I was worried about the east wind. The fish Didn’t mind the wind tho. We landed 20 fish. 19 Pike and one accidental smallie. We also lost another 10 or so fish. We caught all fish on jerk baits. A lot of 7 and 8lbers and only 3 fish under 5lbs. The real treat was that I got two Hog pike. A 10lber and a 11lber.Most fish had bigger shoulders then last year so guess there healthy. It was a blast. Here are a few of the fish. sorry about the verticle hold guys I really needed a day like that after a long year at school. Needless to say, my buddy Rob had a blast his first day fishing. Thanks for reading and love the Quinte reports guys. Goodluck on the water Snagmasteral

  19. A few of my buddies and I go up to Gbay every thankgiving to hunt and fish. The scenery is gorgeous, the fishing is hit or miss and the hunting is toughbut still my favorite place to visit. Got up to Gbay on friday afternoon and setted up for the duck hunt. Not to many dcuks buzzing around probly do to the heat but got a few and my budy nich shot two woodcock. We were planning on grouse hunting on saterday but Woodro and I wanted to check out the fishing first. Checked out an old smallie spot first thing in the morning and hooked into this 36 and a half inch pike....very wide back on her. release shot Continued working the spot and Crazy nick my fishing partner for the weekend picked up a couple 2lb smallies....Woodro and stelooch picked up a couple of smallies too but it was a tough bite tho. On the way back to the lodge for lunch we stopped at woodros Largie spot . I picked up one nice one and woodro got 2 or 3. Got back to the Cabin and had a fiest. We ate Woodros Buck all weekend and boy was it tasty....By the way congrats woodro on your first deer. We were supose to go out for the duck hunt again but I knew nothing would be flying so we went fisihng again...went back to our smallie area...Missed a few nice fish as they werent very active but Crazy Nick picked up a 5.2lber and a 2lber....Thats his new personal best smallie. went back to the cabin and drank our faces off and had a blast. The next day was the tourny between the two boats. we Both went out for smallies first thing in the morn but all we could hook was small pike and i lost one hog....Around !pm I siad to nick we should check out the largie spot but he wanted to stay on the smallie pattern ...big mistake...we headed back to the cabin at 2pm fpr lunch and woodro had 5 nice largies in the well and we had nothing....But it wasnt over yet...weigh in was at dark...we ate like champs again and headed out.....woodro and stelooch took an hour nap because they thought they had it in the bag....we got to the spot and within an hour and a half we hooked 11bass....and they were hogs...I got two 5lbers and one just under in 15 minutes.heres a few of the fish. my 2 fivers neekos with some fish another hog we caught our limit and figured we had them beat so we headed over to the smallie spot for the evening.....Met back up with woodro after dark at the spot to weigh in and release the fish. We weighed in 22lbs 13ounces and woodro and stelooch weighed in 21lbs 4ounces....that was our best five fish.....they were shocked....got out for a few hours on monday morning and the largies were on again as soon as the heat picked up....Nick and I caught 7 more and i lost one that made my fives look tiny...Must have been 6 or 7 lbs...no joke. a 4lber with some serious teath marks..must have been a big ski was an awesome trip. cant wait to go next year and get that 7lber...lol.....thanks for reading guys and goodluck on the water
  20. awesome report rob......wow the kings are still out that far at this time of year
  21. sweet report guys...looks like guys had a sweet shorelunch
  22. thanks for the kind words guys....yeah simco has been a bit tough this year but always manage to get to land some decent fish , but not the best for numbers this year...well for me atleast
  23. Johny bass and I headed up to simcoe last week to target largies and smallies. As of last week our summer smallie spots were pretty much dry...fish must have moved to 20 to 30 FOW already (fall pattern). We checked out a couple smallie spots with no luck so decided to hit up some flippin jig largies action. We caught four or Five in an hour or so. No real hogs, Biggest was 4lbs. Only had about 20 min of daylight left and we wanted some smallies....went to a spot near by and got a double header...a 4lber and a 2.5lber...Nice way to finish an eveing fish We had to work for our fish But was a great day on the water. Thanks for reading and goodluck on the water.
