Hey guys was planning on hitting the Niagara area tomorrow morn for lakers, browns and bows but its impossible to find someone to go out with on the week days. Since ill be goin solo am gonna drop the boat in at the rivers off cooks for crappy and perch> does anyone know how its been? Are the launches in keswick free of ice?

most important thing is that your alright bro. could have happened to anyone...I was on the ice the day before in the same area and went out 12km out and back with no problems at all...It just goes to show how fast cracks can open up with a warm front and alot of sun. ....when i got out there on friday there was ZERO slush whole out there and the ice conditions were fine. when I left at 530 there were a few big slush wholes closer to shore and the shoreline parking lot was like a swimming pool....My advice was the conditions were not the greatest and that they were only going to get worse but.......I was really surprised however that he went down 8km out...conditions closer to shore were much worse.....there was hundreds of trucks out there on saturday and only a couple had problems from what i hear...wrong place wrong time....oh well pretty soon the boat will be out and wont have to worrie about questionable ice anymore... As for people saying it is wrong to drive a vehicle on the ice .....thats just non sence....up north in areas like temagami its a way of life ...its the only way people can get to where they got to go....maybe people from the city are not use to it but vehicles should def not be banned from going on the ice in my opinion....you just have to know when its safe and take the right percausions.

hey guys, Im looking to head out one more time for whitefish out of jacksons point but really dont want to walk it....Have a 4x4 truck and looking to drive it out...Im sure there is way to much snow on the ice for it but have to ask???

It was a great day on the ice ...A few fish a few laughs and even got to meet some new fellow ofners which is always nice....sweet video Iceguy....really gets me excited for tomorrow morning....Gotta love those chunky simcoe whities

great place and great owner .(Bill)..have been there spring , summer and fall and always have a great time...the walleye fishing can be very rough at times ...but if you find them your in for a treat......The smallie fishing is great in the fall ( to bad there not open when your there). I find the pike fishing to be OK in the spring but not comparable to further south down gbay.....you will have a blast...one of my favs

wow..Moosebunk you really hated it there ehh?? ...Ive been to paurto plata, la romana and punta cana more then once and the resorts and the beaches were gorgeous...if you leave the resorts then your completely right its GARBAGE....but its a poor country just like jamaica(love jamaica tho)....its to bad to hear the fishing sucks tho...ill give here a go

Hey all, Im leaving on saturday morning to la romana -Domincian republic for a week with my G.F. Im interested in getting a fishing charter for some flat fishing (not deep sea ...my gf will yak...lol). Has anyone been to this area in the domincan and know a good charter??? Am willing to spend up to $300 for the day fishing ....want to get into some permit, jacks and cudas...Will be staying at casa del mar...was wondering if theres any shore fishing near the resort. Am going tobring jigs, grubs, jerkbaits ,cranks, spinners....any advice on other tackle i should consider bringind to mess around with....thanks guys...hopefully the ice will be ready when i get back....happy holidays
