Do you have surface clarity off ? It can really mess with things if its turned on.
-
I find these work in most cases quite well. Fishing mode: Shallow Water Surface Clarity: Off Noise Reduction: Low Colour palette: 13 Ping speed: 15 to 18 Sensitivity: Auto (in most water should be fine) FishID: Off Transducer: HST-WSBL (for Lowrance Transom mount transducer) this is located under Settings-Installation.

Tracked down the low Perm fuel bulb today. They went down in price to $28 from $43.

I use a small 3 gallon tank for my kicker takes up a bit of room but it acts as a reserve for main and if I get water in main tank. I agree with irish for not using a selector valve. Use a T but put both primer bulbs above the T. You could always put a shut off on the kicker line before the kicker primer if you were worried about a bulb issue.

Awesome job you guys! Can't wait to get back up there that is fishing at it's best

how am I supposed to do a no smoking ban in my boat now!
-
Definitely has fixed the issue. The only time I should notice it going forward is when the tank sloshes or temp changes and fumes come through the vent. That is one annoying side of the open vent system vs portable tanks

Well ever since I got my boat I've noticed it always had a strong fuel smell after sitting for a while. I was told that aside from an actual gas leak, gasoline can permeate through plastic gas tanks and fuel lines. I did some investigating for actual leaks and couldn't find any. I ended up tracking down the strong fuel smell to the actual gas lines and primer bulb! Reading up on this, the US has a new EPA standard for fuel feeder and vent lines that are A1-15 - meaning they have a low-permeation formula and are built to withstand ethanol enriched gas a bit more. I couldn't track down an A1-15 Fuel Fill line so it looks like A2 is still the standard there - as it typically doesn't have fuel (or at least a small amount) sitting in it for too long so permeation isn't as big of an issue there. Surprisingly for 15yr old lines they are still in good shape on the inside. Some white residue is in them but the rubber held up well. They were originally A1 rated lines. They were fuel soaked though you could really tell the gas had gotten through the entire hose. The pricing to replace your lines isn't terrible - it was about $100 to replace all three lines and that also includes enough 3/8'' hose for a portable tank and to run to the motor. 3/8'' A1-15 around $2.15/ft 5/8'' A1-15 around $2.40/ft 1.5'' A2 around $3.70/ft In 2011 there is new regulations to have low-perm fuel bulbs in the US. The price of these primer bulbs have doubled; about $28 for aftermarket or $40 for OEM each. Not sure how long until this is a standard in Canada. Although more expensive, I'm going to go with the low-perm bulbs, as they will probably stand up to Ethanol gas over time better anyhow. Some pics of the old/new lines.

Congrats on the new rig funny how things work out sometimes!

Still call them and note the area! Might get a few more patrols down there. Calling it in immediately should get someone there, can't the police show up as well if a CO isn't available? Remember most cell phones and cameras have video camera on them now, doesn't hurt to snap a pic and take a video. Don't take matters into your own hands, you never know how someone will react. Just disgusting what people do to those salmon. what the hell is wrong with them

Nice job I've been hoping to get out with John up there as well! Congrats!

The one Dam that used to be let out in the fall hasn't been functional for several years now. Upstream reservoirs are over 3' higher right now and letting water out as is the river level in the city, so not looking good for the Thames downstream for at least a couple days its complete chocolate milk up this way. I wanted to get down there this weekend but going to hold off now. Good luck to those that do.

Is that scorpion still for sale in the classifieds? That was a good deal for an awesome reel
-
If they can put a respectable powertrain in there (think direct injection or turbo with a 6spd transmission it might be a viable option for some.

They are also sixty dollars a spool from what I've been told. The mgfb spool will work and much cheaper

Not yet will give them a call this week

Tohatsu To Build New Small Outboards For Evinrude
scugpg replied to craigdritchie's topic in General Discussion
Tohatsu also makes the nissan line of small motors. Should make it easy for parts! -
Sometimes the usa and uk mpg gets confused. The escape gets very close to sticker ratings. Any car that I've seen gets close aside from really stop and go in the city where it drops fast. Not sure on the trucks

Are they going to be 4 strokes then? Very interesting. -
Thanks guys I'll do some calling and let you know who has a good price

Guys I'm looking at replacing my boat fuel tank lines and was wondering where I can get bulk hose at a good price. Anyone have a recommendation? Thanks!

I had the schumaker charger and it cooked my optima. Went to ctek never had an issue since
-
The 2009 and newer come with the six speed which will give you better mileage
-
You should look at the escape in a 4x4. The 4 would pull that but the 6 would work much less. Barry is right they don't invest much technology into small trucks for power train and mileage
-
I haven't heard good things about that truck. What about a small suv? It would be pushing it with the four cylinder
