  1. I'd usually leave in afternoon around noon and its 1.5hr to Toronto from here. It sounds like anytime after that it heats up in the afternoon. So basically try and avoid from 7am-10am 4-6pm weekdays and Friday nights? From Guelph Westbound it wasn't bad cruising at 100 and hanging out in the far lane.
  2. I haven't done too much 401 towing and when heading north usually cut up through guelph to hwy 9 and head east from there. Found recently that it burns a ton of gas stopping/starting through towns to get moving and adds at least an hour on the trip (barring no slowdowns on 401). Does it bother you guys to tow through big traffic at all? When are some better times to head through T.O. and head to kawarthas?
  3. Ontario for me too around kenora no need to go anywhere else
  4. I've always used a sledge and hit the back of rotor and just rotate the rotor a bit on each strike. That video is pretty neat though.
  5. plastics would be yamamoto senkos lure would be smithwick rogue
  6. Thanks for the tips irishfield
  7. Caved in and picked one up...lifetime warranty on everything except the bag so helped made decision easier. This thing is the cat's meow just need to find some fish that can fill it!
  8. They are only rated for 55 mph last time I looked.
  9. The ground wire attached to the trailer is a common one to fray and break off.
  10. the ones I replaced were B rated 35psi max. The new C Chinese made ones are to be run at 50psi max. I have mine at 48. Actually noticed a signifigant improvement in rolling resistance with the new tires @ higher psi
  11. No issues here, just replaced a 10yr old set of USA marathons. Tough to find US trailer tires as far as I know.
  12. For those in ontario after a stowmaster for musky or walleye/bass I noticed Angling Outfitters now has some in stock. Saw the 116y and 108s and some carrying cases. I think the prices were $199 and $149 for the nets.
  13. Pull up on the black tab. It should say "lift" on it It should slide straight out (its on grooves )out of the red housing but might need some water to get it moving.
  14. Try putting them in water to see if it lubes the housing a bit to slide out. I just replaced mine this weekend.
  15. Henry wouldn't adding a check valve on both motors after the T eliminate the air issue?
  16. It sounds like any brass barb will work for this, however... Where can I find a shutoff valve? Just need it for one line. I see some at home depot etc however don't think they are rated for gasoline.
  17. Hi Rob, where did you get the t? From what I understand, its best to have a primer bulb on both lines as the check valve stops air or gas from going backwards.
  18. Like others mentioned the 1amp is useless as a charger in this setup. Did you try disconnecting everything from batteries and try charging? What do they read on the voltmeter on and off the charger?
  19. I want to add an additional fuel line for a kicker motor, so basically was thinking in this order: Main fuel line >> "T" >> Primer bulb >> Main ......................................shutoff valve for kicker >> Primer bulb >> Kicker Does that sound right? Where can I get a fuel grade shutoff valve, and the associated hardware? Would brass work? There may be some times where I want to run both motors at once (charge battery etc) so using a 2 way shutoff valve wouldn't be optimal for me. Thanks in advance.
  20. We saw two tolls from SW Ontario to International falls through the states. 1. Mackinaw Bridge 2. International Falls/Fort Frances Bridge travel insurance is cheap that is definitely a good idea!
  21. Don't go through chicago lots of tolls and slowdowns. cross at sarnia and head north at flint.
  22. I think US is quicker and less traffic/better roads
  23. Its a great trip going through Michigan/Wisconsin/Minnesota. I'd definitely recommend it. Mackinaw bridge is cool as well. The interstate highway system is quiet once you get halfway to Mackinac and next to no big trucks! Marquette MI or Ashland WI are good halfway points to stop if you go over two days.
  24. Angling outfitters 519-539-5494 has the best prices around. they are about 30mins out of town this side of woodstock. Talk to jocelyn or al they can work a deal out for you. They have mostly shimano and quantum rods. Lambeth rod and tackle 519-652-5598 is a smaller shop just 5mins south of town. Steve will also take care of you. You can get st croix there.
  25. I've used the grey colored ones with the two screw terminals for years with no issue. Get the manual reset one.
