Hi Everyone. With the snow just around the corner, the ice storms are sure to follow. That means power outages for us all at some point. What is your backup method for establishing hydro at your residence? Why have you chosen the way you have to fix the temporary issue ? Also, what is your preferred source of heat when the power is out?

Hello Everyone, I always have a fire starter kit with me when I am fishing or portaging into a back lake. It consists of wooden matches with waxed over heads, magnifying glass, corks soaked in rubbing alcohol and sealed in plastic zip lock bag, and if all else fail due to wet conditions, a can of sterno. Its light weight and easy to carry. What do you use?

Hi Everyone, We had a fuel mix up at work with a diesel truck that had regular gasoline put into its tank by attendant at service station. Approximately 24 Liters were pumped into the tank which already held about 25 Liters of diesel fuel. Truck was driven 1/4 mile back to company yard. Do you think any damage was done to engine or other parts? Truck has been towed to repair shop. Thanks for your thoughts on this. npt1.

Good for the train employees for stopping the loud talking. Another thing that gets my goat is a person using their cell phone in a restaurant or other public place with the speaker phone activated. Very very annoying. Rick.

go to machine shop supply, ask about a keen sert kit, it will be a drill, nf tap and a 1/4 x 20 keensert. they will have a chart and will walk you through the process, use heat to get broken tap and e/z removed.

Hi All, When you are using your snowblower and the wind is not helping you, what type of outer clothing is best for the snow blowing back at you, not sticking on your outerwear??? Is it nylon ?? Must be waterproof also.. Thanks in advance. Lloyd.
