Some people are " over the top" in things they do ...weather its dressing to celebrate or socialize or fish???? whatever the case may be ....look again at the smiles on the faces in the pictures and try to tell me again how you could possibly think that this is demeaning to our flag...the joggers in the one photo are more then likely raising money for a good cause and the kids in the second Photo are making memories by combining respect and fun ...Pictures say a thousand words and it saddens me to think you could call these people clowns....sorry for your narrow mindedness but im proud to be a part of this CIRCUS you call Canada... For the record....i dont fly a flag on my lawn or own any canadian flag clothing....i rely on the people of "over the top" to pull my weight for me Does this make me unpatriotic??? i think not.. my heart is as warm as theirs ...but the decision is mine to make because of the flag they wear I suppose you dont own any hockey jerseys or go to any games either ( especially away games) just my 02 cents

play around in the bay and you may pull some decent size browns if you do go off the bruce nuclear plant wander out about a mile off the outflow of "A" plant and focus in the water of 80 to 120 feet deep ...you WILL get salmon and lakers....or if you feel the need to go south from the bay ...just off of green patch( Halfway from Inverhuron to Kincardine) is piled up with salmon and lakers... Dont forget your camera and welcome to the board and the Lake where you can eat what you catch) with no riggers on your boat ....grab a couple of dipsy divers or lead core..it will get you down to where you need to be

IF a woman or child or man ( for that matter) outfishes me then i consider it a compliment that i taught them well....if i take someone fishing to one of my spots and they dont catch anything ( under my instruction) then i feel bad.and write it off to the fish having lock jaw...but if they dont heed the advice i give them ...then stupid is as stupid does...i dont mind spending their money when they lose the bets...( usually in the pub ) rubbing more salt into their broken pride... IF i was you ...i would be rubbing salt into the "man" like a man ( even though you are a "woman") Its all part of the fun of "The Game"

To answer the question of what went wrong...you should have had a bet with him for the FIRST FISH /BIGGEST FISH and MOST FISH @ 5 bucks for each category...sometimes it puts a little more sting into the situation if he isnt going to listen to your advice...

Dont count them out yet...the wings have a tendency to do things in bunches....

well i suppose to answer the question to the topic of the thread.... If you go down to the mouth of the credit river ( say late sept or early oct) with a 7 foot rod and a baitcaster chucking canadian wigglers and hook into a 30 plus pound salmon...you will answer the question for yourself...( if you dont go then i answer it for you ) BECAUSE ITS FUN FUN FUN !!!!! Not that a 11 - 15 foot rod set up to float isnt fun ...its just another kind of fun

And to think we cant even use lead splitshot...
