They are just starting here in the sault area

Still tons of ice in the sault area. I was out today on an inland lake there was so much ice another inch and my auger wouldn't be long enough. Going to be a very late year. Although 3-4 restaurants are advertising fresh smelts saying they have a supplier getting them through the ice

Family cottage burnt down - need advice
pike slayer replied to FishFinder17's topic in General Discussion
I worked doing rebuilds for service master for over 7 years and worked on a lot of burn homes. I've seen what people go through with the insurance. Insurance companies really push to just write you a cheque and wash their hands of it but its a lot less money then getting it rebuilt. You are in for a lot of headaches. The more documents the more pictures more receipts you have to prove what you had and the value the better chance at more money. They love to give you depreciation values of all your contents. To get it built your better off having someone like service master rebuild it you'll get your best value but it's the longest process. You'll be lucky to have your place done by the end of summer. For any advice pm me -
There isn't much online on those lakes. I've been eyeing them up the last couple years. I was going to try and get in by 4wheeler. The frater road looks like it gets very close. If you go post a report!

Go on these islands put some c4 on it. Wait for the birds to return then kaboom! All the pieces of bird go into the water feeding the fish.

I believe a guy from the sault area "invented" it. Everything is legal. Its identical to the automatic fishermen but now with some batteries to jig it. Now I'm interested.

I bought a champion 2 years ago used it once or twice and it sat there. I blew the dust off it this spring and it fired right up even with old gas. I ran it all summer at camp putting a couple hundred hours on it problem free. For a cheaper stand by generator the champion is great. Next year I think I'm going to buy a Yamaha knowing I'm going to put hundreds to thousands of hours on it.

If you sleep in the vehicle I highly recommend making some kind of screen to fit in the window cause it will get hot and stuffy and you don't want to let the skeletons in

I bought one of those SUV tent a few years ago thinking it was a great idea. I never ended up using it. It's a dust collector. I bought a tent trailer directly after. Sold it for a before one. Then yoloed leased property bought a 26' camper and I'm building a cabin. I suggest just skip tent and camper stage and go straight to a cabin haha

Www.ituksum.com check them out! Off the chapleau highway. He has a little campground and Bush cabins. Endless amount of atv trails. Lots of grouse and rabbits. Lots of small lakes loaded with walleye, pike, bass, etc. Mostly all accessible by atv and small boat and motor. -
My 17 ram with the 3.92 rear gets 12.5 litres per 100km. I do all kinds of truck stuff. For a v8 hemi I'm quite happy with the fuel mileage. I was looking at the 3litre diesel and a quick Google search scratched that engine off my list and I wasn't that impressed with the 3.6 in my wrangler so i got the good old reliable hemi is what I got. Word of advice get rid of the crappy P rated tires right away blew 3 within 10 days and 2 of them within 12hrs back in the Bush. Had to do a Bush patch to get home.

It has front and rear locker when it's in 4low like a jeep Rubicon????

Lots of lakes behind Bruce mines with decent walleye pike bass lakes. Good walleye fishing between wawa and white river. When you headed this direction?

I trust my handheld over a phone any day of the week. Dog lake is a big lake and I'd feel alot better with a handheld in my pocket but that's just me.

So I took a drive up and checked out the place. The property is gated at the highway and then gated another km or 2 in. You drive a logging type road for 6km til you get to the lots. The property has 6 private pike/walleye lakes and the lots are on a large lake that has pike, walleye, bass, perch, whitefish and also has a fishing lodge on it. The lots are cleared with windows to lake with amazing views ready to build. Leases are annual not 20 year and basically you hope every year they renew. Lots of nice places in there all with the same lease agreements.

The area is suppose to be in a very good area for fishing and close to good hunting the reason for my interest in the property. The guy has leased over 40 lots over the last 5 years or so. He only has 3 lots left. He told me a few people have put up log cottage kits, septic systems, etc. Other have built smaller cabins. Asking around town I found 2 friends of friends that had already gotten leases and are building cabins in the area. I briefly spoke to them and I couldn't get fine details but they didn't seem to concerned. I'm definitely going to check these out with caution and see the paper work with agreements and probably take it to a lawyer before pulling the trigger if I like the property. I want to make sure I ask all the right questions. Either way I know I would not invest a ton of money cause nothing is 100% ever there's always a risk. I'd do a smaller basic cabin no power wood stove plywood floors.

I came across a guy that owns a massive piece of land and for the past few years he has been leasing 1acre lots to build cabins on it. From searching the depths of the Internet it looks like he only does 20 year leases. This Monday I was heading up to check out the properties he has left. If I were to do this what type of rights would I have to never be kicked off of it?Would it fall under the landlord tenant act like renting an apartment? If the guy dies, goes bankrupt, selling the property, etc. Can the new person have me removed?

Those power wagons are awesome trucks a little out of my price range. Lookinforwalleye are you a car dealer?

Misfits I have a titan right now and I test drove a ram 2500 and I loved it. Deciding if I should settle for a ram 1500 or another brand of truck in the same price range. Seems like ford and gm are price quite a bit higher and don't offer as good rebates.
