  1. Had a yellow lab but she is gone now.
  2. I spent a lot of time in the marsh hunting phesant and just hanging out with my pup. One of the best things about the marsh is all the dog trials they have there during the summer. On any weekend there could be three different competitions going on in there. They plant a lot of birds for the pointing competitions and we would get phesant, quail and chukar running around our place.
  3. Well my city has tons of wild life. In the three years I have been here I've had Black Bears, Grizzly Bears, Cougar, Lynx, Wolverine, Coyotes and Foxes in my neighbourhood. There's a fox den at the foot of my driveway that had ma, pa and 10 kits in it this spring. They moved out during the thaw due to flooding and have moved to a drier spot two doors down.
  4. My buddies dad used to drag race big block powered ski boats with vee drives. He's got 130 stiches in his right leg from a blowover during one race. His parachute pulled him free during the blowover but he carved up his leg on the gunnel as he was pulled free. He was still racing into his mid sixties.
  5. My 90 horse on my 18' aluminum fisher is a 13X19 and the motor tops out at 5300 rpm. Weight of the boat wet is about 1000#'s. That is without occupants.
  6. How did they make time from rolling around on the ground grabbing at thier shins and wincing in pain long enough to score a gooooaaaaaallllll?? ??
  7. The best thing to do is have it sand blasted and work from there. You will get a much better result and it will take much less work than sanding. I just repainted an old trailer of mine and just used a drill with a brass wire wheel to knock the scale off and repainted with Tremclad and it turned out ok. So you can go that way if you aren't too concerned about it looking perfect. If you want the paint to hold up better you can coat the trailer with either spray on rocker guard or spray on bedliner before painting. The undercoat is more flexible and won't chip off when hit with stones and road grit like plain paint will so it will help keep the steel sealed from the elements and not allow it to rust again.
  8. I also bought my boat through Legend back in 1991. My hull is made by Fisher. Model SV18-GT and it's a darn fine built hull.
  9. Yep, it's a full synthetic that comes in 2 stroke mix, 2 stroke injector and 4 stroke versions. Opti 2 & Opti 4 Oils I purchase mine at a local store, Ron's automotive but you can shoot off an email or call the manufacturer for a list of local dealers. The stuff isn't cheap but it works great. It costs me $55 gal for injector oil here in Yellowknife.
  10. Not!!! I helped him remove it from his 19 1/2' 2007 Lund Tyee. In front of his house, with the neighbour yaking away and his wife and daughter cycling around the hood.
  11. Dang you Terry!!!! You stole my quote!!!!!
  12. Badgers? We don't need no stinkin' badgers!!!! Sorry man Mongo told me to do it!!!
  13. The $150 I paid is way better then $1300 for a new in the box one, especially since this one has never seen water (other than spray or rain).
  14. It's a 60" and sorry it's replacing the 19 year old Minn Kota 765 MX mounted on the front of my boat.
  15. Wow, 6 replies while I was off taking pictures of it.
  16. So I was doin' a little surfin' this afternoon and on my favorite Yellowknife buy&sell site I see an ad for a Minn Kota 80# trolling motor. The price was very good, so I make the call. 10 minutes later I'm at the sellers house. He is selling it because he has never used it. It came on his 19 1/2 foot Lund Tyee that he bought new in 2007!!! It is a Minn Kota Powerdrive, 80# thrust with universal sonar and autopilot. SWEEEEEEEEETTTTTT!!!!! So I bought it. Price? $150!!!!! It even came with the Minn Kota quick release bracket. So I got a motor that sat bolted on the front of this guys boat for 2 or 3 years but was never used at 90% off. Made my week that has been going crappy, into an awesome week. Now I get to bolt her up.
  17. Seems they all moved to the Attawapiskat.
  18. To the guy who builds his house on someone elses land and is a jerk to the new owners.....................................Here's your sign!!!!
  19. Sounds like the mating call of the Eastern Samsquench.
  20. Personally after fishing Walkers, Canons and Bigjon's while chartering on Lake Ontario for many years I liked the Bigjon Captains Pak riggers the best. The Canons are a pain to retrieve the ball even with their retrieval system, the Walkers were OK but the Bigjons were the best in my opinion. The ability to lift the arm and swing the ball in to you made resetting lines a breeze, plus they had auto stop. Another bonus is the rodholders pivot bac toward you making it easier to get the rod out of the holder while a 30# King is ripping off line!! Check them out they are a very nice rigger.
