Another nice pooch shot, I still want to paint them in the water. I LOVE the first shot and I can't figure out why, exept the sense of a journey (directing the eye) through the photo. I SHOULD like the third one more, if I went by my composition rules, but the higher contrast in the first one and larger section of water to the left just intrigues me. GREAT WORK! Pam

I did this for a xmas present, so I couldn't show it until after the grand day. "Maverick", 16 x 20 on canvas. He is an up and coming champion, a buddy to the last Brittany painting I did. Not my dogs, but I follow their doggy careers. They even have a website. Pam

Well, I need help! I'm finally on vacation and have time to do xmas baking, etc. I found out I have to cook all the vegetables for our xmas dinner the day before. That means casseroles, which I don't usually make. They have to be able to prepare and refrigerate to bake or reheat just before the meal. Any and all recipes are welcome, even if they have some meat. My sister is cooking the turkey and gravy but I have turkey stock in the freezer for flavouring casseroles. Thanks in advance. Pam

I have an answer back from the president of the Ontario Puma Foundation. "Hi Pam These rumours are the biggest thing since sliced bread and probably one of the most widespread pieces of gossip you will ever hear. Pumas are indigenous to Ontario. They have always been here but in the 1800s they were persecuted to almost extinction. Over the past 100 years they have slowly regained their range and due to the large deer population they appear healthier than ever. The deer population in Ontario is also healthier as a result of the pumas being around. The deer become genetically stronger and the genetically weaker ones are weaned out and as a result antler size and deer size become larger. I have been studying pumas for 30 years in Ontario. The first reports of pumas in the Janetville area came to me in 1982. This population of pumas from what I have gathered are now into their fourth or fifth generation of animals from Janetville to Bethany, Little Britain, Bobcaygeon, Goose Lake, Lake Dalrympal, Ganaraska Forest, Dunsford, and Omeemee. Pumas have been in the highlands longer than they have called them the highlands. I knew a trapper in the area around Moore Falls who used to collect data for me while out on his trap lines. This was so long ago that I don't even know if he is alive any more. I have data for that area from 1955 and pumas are still quite well and alive in the area. The OPF has an education programme in place and has also recognized and covered the livestock issue in the Recovery Strategy and Management Plan. All the information is on our website - it just has to be found. The OPF is an organization made from all types of stakeholders. Biologist, zoologist, hunters, trappers, naturalist, livestock owners, environmentalists, farmers, etc, etc. The entire Strategy and Management Plan has been put together from input from everyone. Yep, that's what it looks like here. Exept mine is full of birds! How do you get rid of Pigeons?? The farmer across the road sold all his dairy cows and now the pigeons that used to feed there have moved in to my feeding stations! At least they leave one area for the rest of the birds. Pam P.S. Ears don't matter to fish, if the bait is floating all they see is the underbelly. Now, if you are looking to tie one that will be displayed, then use deer hair and leave the area long where the ears will be and sculpt them at the end to look like ears. Pam

We did that for years without a rack, just tie downs. No problems, easy to pull. Pam

Are you using a tripod? I think they look wonderful, I love nighttime shots. I think I like the blurry ones best. Pam
