LOL well I did show them my new reel

nice just like my flight simulator only more detail....LOL

when you pay that much for a reel, you want to make sure that you get it every shot...LOL that was the whole point

well it's the last weekend on simcoe for trout and whitefish, so I thought I would start the morning fishing for them I marked lots of fish, but couldn't buy a bite I then went to the islands to try some smallmouth fishing...not a bite then to cooks for bass and pike lots of pike were biting first fish on the new reel the hook set <embed width="448" height="361" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" src="http://i25.photobucket.com/player.swf?file=http://vid25.photobucket.com/albums/c52/Mrbeee1954/DSCF3095.flv"></embed> the first bass then a couple of guys fishing not too far from me as I get closer I see they have rods stored in the rod hodders but are doing lots of casting I keep fishing and we are getting closer.......I say to myself.."self what is that in the water near their boat" well it looks like floats...can't be....they are casting, I see them I start up the main motor and run up beside them....while snapping pictures and say guys you know it's 1 rod per person , right well they had dropped the rods by that time, I one guy picks up the rod he had been casting and said..hey I'm not using it, see it's not in the water....the second guy, he didn't have time to get his out of the water..he just had his head down , kind of shaking back and forth.. so I snap a couple of more pictures and say..well I have pictures of you casting and with rods with bobbers in the water at the same time, "the guy said something but not sure what I say....well it's not for me to say, when the MNR gets here I will show the pictures and he will decide who gets charged..... the guy had had not said anything is really shaking his head back and forth now.......I say I will be in the area waiting for them to show up..and I go back to fishing.....I turn the other way and the guy slowly reels in his second rod I can see that they are talking, now the other rods come in, I set the hook on a fish and by the time I let it go they were long gone...I wish I really had a cell phone or some way to call the cops...........they had no numbers on the little boat I think they will not do that again for a few weeks here they are oh yeah I used the new reel and love it

sure I can reel it in once or twice a day.........getting old...dang.........I try not

most reels cast at 15,000 rmp this thing will cast up to 50,000 rmp the chip adjusts the speed of the spool 1000+ times a second so it will not spin faster then the lure is moving = it can cast 300ft...which is unheard of.. and you can play xbox 360 games on it.........ok maybe not...LOL it will stay home when I go to Quinte.....other toys for that trip

ahhhh,,yeah,,thanks for your concern.....LOL here is a clip of lindner casting it into heavy winds without thumbing the spool not even when it hits the water video of my reel...mine mine mine

I guess they are not going to make it for xbox......dang I don't want to upgrade right now...I have a modded xbox with about every game going

I have been looking at the SHIMANO Calais DC Digital Control Baitcasting Reel, thinking I really need one but them I found out they cost with tax in about 900 bucks 900 buck CND...that's nuts they are only about 700 bucks in the States....like that's going to help well I found a new one on Ebay but the Japanese model same thing but the manual is in Japanese...I could live with that and the starting bid is 399.99...well that's well under half price...I could do that but no one has bid on it...so I wait a few days..still no one bid..I put in min. bid...aday later and just a few hours to go and no one else has bid I am thinking, did I read it wrong..is it a different reel or are they only selling the case for the reel..why is it so cheap so the last few miutes you keep refreshing to make sure you are the high bid.... dang I got it for the price I wanted plus shipping and ins. so then..what will I have to pay for duty and tax at the border.... well today at lunch I got it at the post office..I had an extra 200 bucks in my pocket..just in case the lady said 16 dollars please for duty.... that was it it was the reel I thought it was the reel to beat all reels and I go it here for under 450 CND..what a deal.... but why do I really need this thing............. now I need to tell the wife don't I well

Yup 1 turn of the handle , 6.2 turns of the spool but that doesn't tell the whole story on gear ratio , it's the number of inches of line it takes up per turn of the handle that really counts and that depends on the size of the spool plus gear ratio

the law states they can fish the river this time of year...so they are within the law...so you personal beliefs don't mean anything and really shouldn't be posted in someone elses thread..starting your own thread..fine jumping in to a thread asking for your opinion..... go for it...but there is no place here for people bashing people fishing within the law IMHO...... hate the law not the fisherman

you might want to look into a camera that floats or you could build a set of floats for your new camera....you just know it will end up in the water

I really really really enjoy my icefishing . . but .. . . ...---... I can wait till Jan or longer for the cold weather I was fishing whitefish from a boat the first week of Jan. this year on lake simcoe and loving it........ I do prefer warm weather

you can get wire and make your own, tie directly to the lure with no snap or swivel...it can help a bit but weeds are weeds
