  1. If I was to use a portable, I would still use a big antenna you don't have to mount the antenna , if you are only going to use it in an emergency ..store it in the rod locker and drag it out when you want a tow in cause the motor died ...hopefully that will be meany many years down the road

  5. most of his maps are laminated now not bad maps for the smaller lakes
  6. most of them just start moving into the river as the ice melts but without a doubt some live there year round and that's why I don't eat any I catch in the river but if you do catch one that live there take it home and save it when the power goes out grab it with 2 hands and snap it to a 90 deg bend then shake it hard, it works great as a night light for about six hours because of the phosphates in it ok I made that part up
  7. you guys where so far behind I had to send out a search party.....LOL you have got to be fast around here

  11. the main the number one thing if it's the only thing you do right, make sure the post is 90 degs perfectly level strait if it is off even a little bit it throws off ever other angle/adjustment for The dual LNB set every angle on the ground, then put it on the pole hook up the cable to 91 and get the best signal you can then hook up 82 and adjust if needed

  17. you would sure hurt a lot of guys who have spend big big bucks on the big boats and motors for Tournaments it wasn't that long ago that B.A.S.S. and most others had a 150hp limit going back would be a hard thing to do
  18. that is one mean looking bait
  19. I keep one or 2 small pike cause my wife likes to eat them but large ones no , I don't keep any big fish to eat, I don't think they taste as good as small ones the big ones have has many more years to acquire toxics in them, so small ones are safer plus big fish are more likely to breed big fish as for muskie, small ones are under the slot size so you can only keep big ones, but they taste like crap so unless you are getting it mounted I see no reason to keep one, but that's just me
  20. here is a good top water, works best with a fast retrieve
  21. oh yeah was out on simcoe I noticed my fishing line wasn't touching the water but was about a foot above the water, thought that was strange I brought the lure in and removed it, then I let out line which floated away from me on about a 45 deg angle up, the more line I let out the higher it went suddenly I realized that it was static electricity which you get just before a lightning strike we reeled in and took off, we were maybe 300 ft away from the spot when lighting hit......we was really lucky that day
  22. here's the built in bait holder on my boat I like big eyes on my baits, it seems to draw the bite to them
