  1. here is a good top water, works best with a fast retrieve
  2. oh yeah was out on simcoe I noticed my fishing line wasn't touching the water but was about a foot above the water, thought that was strange I brought the lure in and removed it, then I let out line which floated away from me on about a 45 deg angle up, the more line I let out the higher it went suddenly I realized that it was static electricity which you get just before a lightning strike we reeled in and took off, we were maybe 300 ft away from the spot when lighting hit......we was really lucky that day
  3. here's the built in bait holder on my boat I like big eyes on my baits, it seems to draw the bite to them
  4. Terry

    Got it!

I think I read it the other way, his friend took him to see the water but told him he couldn't fish it till he got permission from the owner.... I don't know
  5. Terry

    Got it!

did you tell him you are bringing 200 of your closest OFC friends fishing with you LOL
  6. I own a dodge and now I know why I like getting in my "girl truck" why do you like getting in your "boy truck"..it just seems wrong
  7. well I get mine from the humane society's last minute club, the ones that if not adopted out by 9 they put down, so they give them to me just to save the cost of the needle to put them to sleep, it's a shame that they spade or neuter them first but hey, they were going to die anyway
  8. oh, he does still fish LOL
  9. I ran up the holland river last weekend and it was like running an obstacle course with all the wood in the water
  10. Have a great day
  11. good, maybe you will be around for the beginning of muskie season
  12. the problem with ducklings is when wild ones are the perfect size, muskie aren't in season yet and when muskie season is open the ducklings are too big for the area that I fish and king cole duck farms and other duck farms want too much for them, but when you get them watching the strike is great, make sure you set the hook fast cause they eat them fast and the hooks go deep
  13. yum......LOL
  14. well as you know cats didn't work on the niagara last Dec, I still think the water was too cold for it, so it didn't swim, the 10mh current could have something to do with it too
  15. I haven't tried one of them yet but I can see how it would be a great top water bait, like a chugger or popper
  16. cats kind of plow through the water and drown quickly rats are ok but mice are too small, they are ok for bass thrown over Lilly pads I hear that muskrats are the best, but I have not been able to catch any to use them you must remember to use elastic bands to hold the hooks rather then hooking through the skin, they wiggle real well if skin hooked but die quickly or rip the skin and get away cats you can hook on their collar if they have one, make sure you have a trailer treble hook for short biters small dogs may be best of all, but it's too easy to get attached to them, long haired dogs work well Chihuahua are the perfect size and the constant barking/yapping some people believe draws the muskie in from great distances, I have not been lucky with them myself
  17. the reason they are giving out more moose and deer tags now, is to cull the heard, it is a management tool that does work and the same should happen with the commiRat cormorant....they no longer have predators that will eat them, so we need to kill them and if loon numbers get out of hand, of course we should find a way to reduce their numbers
  18. some good looking fish there, I haven't had much luck on crappie this spring
  19. way to go........she catches big walleye at quinte, she wins fishing for tyler, she wins barrel racing..what's next
  20. well it was only a couple of years ago that the fed gov said ontario will get some money when hell freezes over, so when OFC went down I started thinking it's servers must be in hell
  21. oh god, I was about to read a book for something to do, but it's back now I don't have to
