  6. misfish if I see you walk out to the whitefish grounds on that date, I will follow
  7. and that is why I have been doing it for over 30 years it is real simple to make one too you take an old propane torch and unscrew the flame end find an old BBQ and cut the black hose off that has the end that attaches to the 20lb tank now shove the tube that the flame end was attached to on the old torch, into the hose and put a clamp on it one fully functional refiller with a cut off valve on it too
  8. they are legal up here but once you refill them they are illegal to transport so if you get in an accident on the way to your icefishing you could be in trouble
  9. they are also called EZ Propane Filler Coupler MacCoupler this place in the Innisfil area had a few of them 5 days ago you could give them a call LOVE TO FISH SIMCOE Bait & Tackle - Belle Ewart 705-456-8745
  10. damn that is nasty but girls go for scars
  11. I believe they settled on Innisfil area that way the walkers can walk and still get whitefish and lake trout and perch too
  12. Peace and tranquility....sometimes friendship and laughs...most times competition ..........sometimes something to do rather then work or sitting on my ass watching TV...everytime
  13. oh great Mr. know how what are the parts I need to buy to make a trollmaster I mean the one for the boat not an internet trollmaster..enough of them here already...LOL
  14. that helps I didn't mention but they blindfolded me on the way there, so I could tell anyone where it is but I know we went over a river and 2 train tracks on the way there
  15. the video is from the bassmaster collecting trees now
  16. first if you are icefishing, you are fishing s spot that you believe there is fish if there isn't natural cover in the area the fish will come to cover, always even if you were to suspend the weeds to get suspended fish, the fish in the area will move to the cover 25 or so years ago I was placing xmas trees all over cooks bay in areas near were there were fish but not good cover and on dropoffs that should hold fish within days I would be catching fish in those areas the barrie bassmasters are collecting xmas trees right now to make fish habitat on simcoe
  17. you know our thoughts are with you
  18. so it is the 20th at Innisfil
  19. yeah but you take the plastic ones home with you each night you set up on the ice, cut a few holes around the one you want to fish put down the weeds and fish then remove them if you move to a new spot
  20. I am getting a ice transducer built for it dual 83/200, I could not find one anywhere so it is being built I made up the foam on it last minute, just to try it and it worked fine, I don't think I will do anything else as I wait for the new ducer and yes the different colours tell how hard or soft the bottom is the black line is my small lure when I first start to jig it , the fishfinder sees it as being a bit bigger so it adds some blue and if something is even bigger it show green in it too and if even bigger , yellow will be in the middle of the line, the are about 25 colour schemes you can use, this is just the one that I found easiest to use but I am still playing/ learning how to use the darn thing but so far , it's great
  21. I think fisherman is right if you owned one for years you can still ride them but if you buy one you can not license it therefore you can ride it anywhere but your own property
  22. Ron I just reversed the bracket to balance the transducer then stuck a hunk of styrofoam so it would sit straight in the water it worked pretty well I had too much foam but is fine till my new 83/200 ice transducer comes
  23. well I have to say that I use to put small trees and branches down and it sure brought and held fish
  24. Wayne caught a perch I snapped a picture but it doesn't show up in the photo cause it was so small..LOL Lloyd did get one OOS fish I played with my new Lowrance HDS5 what a great fishfinder, even with all the other finders around me I figured out how to get rid of almost all the interferance can't wait for the ice transducer to be built for me another fun day on the water
  25. I hears there were lots out there walking and fishing one skidoo way out there, might be a little early for that and a Wilcraft so it looks pretty good for the walkers
