  1. Got into it myself for the first time this year. Was surprised at how easy it was. Go for it!
  2. Thanks guys. I. Know where the code is. I had it at the bearing companies. I replaced them and they are already in the tool kit as a backup.
  3. Randy that sounds exactly like what I'm looking for. Of course before I thought of posting this I threw it all back together to clear the garage for the wife. Now you need to picture me smacking my forehead saying D'OH!!!! Because I didn't write the part number down. Thanks.
  4. Ok that's a little clearer. Maybe only a couple of bowls full. All I know is I had a huge smile on my face. I disagree with you though. "The harder I try, the luckier I get" is one of my favourite sayings.
  5. Wish I took a picture before I put it all back together. Figure that anyone who knows what I'm talking about would understand any. I have an 88 Springbok and an older Trailcraft trailer. My axle changes diameter from 1 1/2" to 1 1/4" right at the hub. The bearing seal normally does does not sit flush in the hub.The inside fits in the 1 1/4" but it flares at the back and accepts the 1 1/2" portion. A normal bearing seal in the kits prevents the hub from going on far enough so the castle nut won't clear the cotter pin hole. I've tried the previous owner, Can Tire, my mechanic, Princess Auto, Jensen Trailers, 2 Marine Supply shops, SFW wharehouse, Canadian Bearings. Now I know why he had the Bearing Buddies on, to make sure there was always grease. The seals are blown. Think I did it - didn't know what I was doing and thought I was being responsible topping them up. I figure I'm changing the axle or buying a new - used trailer unles somebody here can help me out. I put the Bearing buddies back on for the short term.
  6. The other day a guy runs a red light (by a mile) and I just manage to tromp on the brakes so that his F150, just skins my Civic's front bumper with his tire. Of course he's got a scratch on his tire only and my car $2300.00. The bumper/grill has to be replaced but is only superficial damage. He begs me not to go through insurance. I'm listening - telling him I have to have cash in hand within 23 hours or I have to protect myself. He calls back repeatedly and promises to work it out. At the 24th hour, I don't hear from him. I go to report it and he is already at the same collision centre - only he is trying to reverse the story saying I ran the red light. Ultimately, I have witnesses. They believe me. They tell him they don't believe him and charge him with careless. This is where Karma takes a huge bite outta his arse. Right after that, they tell him he's under arrest for unpaid fines and then he is arrested on an immigration warrant and is probably going to be deported. I don't want to see anyone suffer, but the dude tried to reverse the whole thing on me, so I'm smiling when he was taken away in cuffs. Not only did he cause chaos for me, the time I've had to put in dealing with this crap has cost me from replacing the bearings on my trailer and I'm gonna miss crappie fishing on my day off tomorrow. Anyway gotta go check the trailer....
  7. Damn Jose you got me all excited again. Looking forward to seeing y'all.
  8. Got it bookmarked. I actually found OFC when googling some bass article and one of yours through here came up. I've found your writing very approachable, fell in love with crappie fishing from your advice and have enjoyed watching your career grow. Best iof luck and keep going
  9. DON'T GIVE UP THE BOAT! The costs will start to add up and it will get further and further away (or smaller with fewer bells and whistles). I agree don't make any majoir changes yet. Get to know the place. 3 car garage on the Danforth! Good job!
  10. Think outside the box but don't make yourself look like you aren't on the same page as they are. Don't be afraid to say "I don't know" but make sure you follow up with a statement that you would look here or there (or speak to so and so) for the answer. Be confident that you are the next big asset to the team. You applied knowing you can do it.
  11. 251 - let's keep it going. Its well worth the reports!
  12. Only ever used one on Quinte once before - Lloyd (Fishhunter) and was very pleased all round. I am going on my second trip with him this year if that helps.,
  13. Looking forward to it! Had a great time with Lloyd last year!
  14. Pm sent. I'm in if there's any room left.
  15. Filing a report here is not necessarily a bad thing. It doesn't mean you are looking for their heads on a platter. If the cops did nothing wrong that will be the finding. If they did, then it is documented on their file. If enough complaints are filed then there will be sanctions for them. I'm sure even the decent cops would appreciate hot heads (if they were) being removed. It also helps you so that if you resemble some bad apples, you have voiced your concern that you have been improperly targeted and it is on the record in case it ever happens again. If they felt it important enough to approach you that way, they should have called for back up while you were there. I think 10 against 2 would have been much better odds. It would have been safer for everybody. You, Them and the public around you. I appreciate them looking out for us but there is a right way and wrong way to do this. Don't read my comments the wrong way. I'm for more cops, tougher sentences etc. But I'm not ready to give up a simple pleasure like eating lunch in a parking lot at a restaurant.
  16. Post some links to the TV stations and lets all email them to let them know what we think of this guy. Maybe we'll cut off some potential income for this bozo.
  17. My condolences to you and yours.
  18. Thanks again folks. I'll be using epoxy and I bought the slow hardener. My gut is telling to follow the advice with the pumps so i'm off to buy em.
  19. Thanks. Wish I bought the pumps - I am going to try and do the ratio by weight. I'll be doing a test run too
  20. New floor is well under way. Wood is cut. Just making the last tweaks. What is the working time of Marine Epoxy? I understand the heat disipation/cure time concept but I can't find anything to tell me even a range of how many minutes I have to work. 3 minutes? 10 minutes? Working in a hot humid garage with a lot of air flow. Planned on using a few cut pieces of 1/4" ply or masonite as my "squeegy" and a few disposable brushes standing by for the edges. Any problems with this? Thanks in a advance.
