  1. Sweet Fish!!! I'd never forgive myself if I blurred a pic of a 9lb walleye...but that would be a fish of a life time to me....something tells me you'll see many fish bigger than that!
  2. Ive heard great things about www.castadventures.ca and Paul Castello.
  3. Why is it stupid to voice your opinions on things you think are wrong?
  4. And just sometimes their right to be complaining, crazy aint it?

  6. I also work at Yonge/Eg, small world eh! Just move downtown, its more fun! -Ben
  7. Thats awesome to hear! I dont fish for salmonoids at all but do follow the board and hear what people say, maybe all the people who check the web to see if the salmon are in are starting to read the replies and complaints around this time of year, nice to see someone with a positive experience on the river
  8. Wow You guys are changing! I never thought a new person to the board would be able to ask questions about a Specific lake without getting their head ripped off! lol Trust me Musky King you REALLY lucked out, especially without an Into! Welcome aboard!
  9. Gotta do a nice thick bone in ribeye! No need to marinade just some Montreal steak spice... Make sure to let the steak warm to room temp before throwing it on the grill and let it sit for atleast 5 min after cookIng!
  10. Sad stuff...injuries and deaths from this bogus war on drugs need to stop.
  11. Amazing! Knowing this report was coming I was excited to see it! Only one or two Solo shot gun/rifle poses! I was expecting more rIfle/shotgun pics lol
  12. Sad to hear, condolences to their families, props to Wayne for his knowledge and info on the subject!
  13. Listen to what DanC says!.. I've heard him say muddler jigs are brook trout candy more than once, his reports prove it! Especially in the Nipigon area!
  14. I could argue this from both sides really well lol, this ones gunna go south fast....
  15. I have some K2 snowboard boats with the cobra system, I think they call it. Their alright , I used them all last season and they tend to loosen up after a run or two, alot of snowboard guys don't like them, I guess simple things like laces are the better. Next year I'm goin back to regular lace up boots.
  16. You could also try posting a WTB ad in the classifIeds on here. I got a ton of pms last year when I wad looking for a rod. Ended up getting a 7'6 fenwick rod for I think $50, great rod and was pretty much brand new. A very nice member even dropped it off! O yea I have a 6'6 Clarus as well, only used it a couple times last year, but so far I'm really happy with it, come to think of it I bought it through OFC as well.
  17. After posting i changed my mind... Nocomment for fear of being roasted by you guys lol

  19. Hook n Look is actually my favorite fishing show and I think Kim is a great host, also pretty cool that he's doing the show with his son. He seems to be a very respectful towards the resource and every show I've seen where he's bed fishing he always stresses immediate release. Also he's not fishing illegally. I don't understand why people get so mad about fishing for spawning bass, southern Ontario is one of the only places in North American where bass season is closed during spring, bass populations aren't hurting in every other place in the continent, whats so special about our lakes? I remember one show where he filmed catching a bass off a bed and how fast the fish got back to the bed. They filmed the bed while the fish was gone and there and no gobies or other little fish eating eggs before the fish got back. After he released the fish it went right back to the bed only being gone for a minute or two. Did you watch the entire show? I'm sure he made a big speech about immediate release. -Ben
  20. Thanks for sharing! Here's a sorta funny fishing picture I found surfing on Stumble-upon. Stumble-upon's an add on for your internet browser that lets you check off your interests, then you just click the stumble button and it brings you to a random site based on your interests. I find all sorts of funny fishing stuff on there, not usually worth a whole topic on OFC but still funny....maybe we should have a thread for funny fishing internet stuff? just an idea, I'm always finding cool stuff when I'm in class....I mean at home . -Ben
  21. This thread comes to mind.... http://www.ofncommunity.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=47178&hl=kawartha%20musky&st=0 -Ben
  22. O yea if you don't get out for Tarpon check out 15th Street Fisheries at Lauderdale Marina you can hand feed Tarpon all day, pretty cool having a 6 foot tarpon grab a shrimp outa yer hand!
  23. I lived in Lauderdale for most of my life and I'd say both! Spend some money on a guide for Tarpon and hit any canal or pond for Peacocks and Largies, pretty much any freshwater has bass. Don't expect a 10+ right around Lauderdale, their few and far between in the canals/ponds and even out of holiday park in the everglades you don't see many 10's. If you looking for the dime go more north to Lake O or the Kissimee chain or even St. Johns river. Where in Lauderdale are you going to be? Most of the tackle shop guys will give you some info! Get a bucket of shiners and your set! -Ben
