doesn't have that flat tophandle, so only one person can operate the auger.
Something to consider. I remember my friend and I assisting each other on the 2.5' of ice, and it made the chore easier.
Very smart guy indeed.

Those insects leave you nothing to get ahold of to defend yourself, and nowhere to run, short of indoors, even then, once you drop to sleep, the ole skeeters come an git ya.

I noticed some of the Pike in the first few pictures look quite lean.
The waters must be relatively clean, and the fish look very healthy.
Urban Angler is the man to speak with.
He goes to the Toronto Islands on a regular basis with some success catching Pike. He gets there via the ferry accessed from the foot of Bay street, that leaves around 5:45 AM.
There is 2 and one half feet of good solid blue ice!
Lake Simcoe is packed with Ice fishermen.
The fish are biting like crazy, many are considered record fish!!
