My Dad (Mistyriver1) and I were dying to get fishing and since there is no ice we decided to go try some Simcoe dock fishing, our first bit of fishing for 2007. We got there around 11:00 and the fish weren't cooperating but when they started, they didn't stop... Here are a few pictures from the day... I started the day off with this nice Simcoe perch A few more.. Then my dad switched to the same bait that I was using and he had success.. The jiggin raps were working really good for us today... The day went by VERY fast!!! But time flies when you are having fun We ended up getting 27 nice perch (all released to swim another day ) No PB's or huge fish, but it was sure good to wet a line. Got quite a bit of fishing stuff Got some cabelas t-shrits, some good lures!!! A pete maina T-Shirt, Pete Maina's book... Pete have only read a bit but i like it so far , two Bass Pro Shops gift cards (one is gone), $25 to spend in Cabelas online. Last a lure making kit Since we arent getting any ice that will probably be used alot this winter. Here is a funny story my Brother was going through his stocking and he pulls a a slinky. He looks at it and after a while finally says "I got a spring" we were all laughing it was so funny

A few years ago i caught a fishing net full of zebra mussels. It was not in bad shape. This is my favourite one, about 5 or 6 years ago on rice lake we were still fishing. My dad looks for his basket of sunfish. Well it was at the bottom, of the lake, thank goodness that the lake was like a glass that night he put on a HUGE red devil and dragged it along the bottom and he got it back!! I will never forget that night!!
