  1. HAha, that's a good story T.J., at least there was absolutely no meat being wasted, maybe they should make some necklaces out of the teeth as well. My grandpa showed me the cheek meat on Walleye, he always claimed it was the best, and I agree. If you guys don't eat the cheeks of Walleye, try it, it is extra lean.
  2. I'll take a hot pink. Maybe FISHERGIRL, a I can come up with a lipstick sent for baits to market.
  3. Techna AV are the top of the line for Fenwick, they come in any action you want and life warranty, good rods. There are so many nice rods out there but the most popularly known for quality are, St croix, Fenwick, gloomis, shimano compre are nice, all those guys will have whatever you need email or phone them and they will give you exactly what you need. Also isn't there a Lebarrons in Quebec ? should have whatever you need there if you don't want to deal in the US, shipping rods is costly. My favourite all purpose walleye rod is a 7'2 medium fast gloomis glx, but it's expensive, it can handle pike, bass, walleye and it's super light and durable, sensitive, but I wouldn't recommend one rod for everything.
  4. Hahaha, only when I play dress up.
  5. And I thought a job application was stressful. jk. Have a good time.
  6. Ye, and during school to boot. Very nice fish.
  7. Looks like a Musky to me Lew. That's a old looking boat. Do you remember what kind it was? Nice pics. The only pics I have are polaroids, nothing digital, how do you post old school photos ?
  8. That's great Bob, I hope I'm still out fishing and dreaming about it after 75 years at it.
  9. I was always wondering about the hats, just to meet others from the board if they see the hat, they know what's up But if that doesn't work for the tourney, I'll just pull the lipstick out of my purse like Rick suggested.
  10. I really don't think it matters to much it's just another topic to talk/write about. I think as long as it's moving that's all you need, sometimes I fig 8, others I mix it up, as long as the lures working properly that's the key, you can pause, twitch, speed it up, but I do keep it in the water at the end of every cast for at least one or two motions. I don't know if it's just me but, I think of it as teasing a cat with string, I just mix it up on every cast.
  11. Not sure of the model # but they are a 1 hand operation that fit in a fishes mouth nothing to big.
  12. Let's here it.
  13. I cook them exactly like walleye and they taste exactly like walleye to me, small under 7lbs is what I keep if I do. It's just a little harder to clean with the extra bones.
  14. Do not get rid of the gas motor. Last year I had a day when my gas motor impeller messed up and I used the trolling motor to get home, and I've had days were the trolling motor has failed, it's always good to have both.
  15. It's great how many people say there grandfather. I'm in the same boat my gramps taught me how to fish, and I always looked forward to fishing with him. Fantasy list : M. Jordan, and Bush so I could talk to him about fuel prices.
  16. 1 piece vote for me. Only bummer is packing it, or paying for the ridiculous shipping if you order one in the mail.
  17. Cool Rick. No more ice fishing for this guy, I'll contribute to my team starting May, can't wait. Where do you get the OFC hats ?
  18. Damn Bob. You must be eating your Wheaties in the morning and maybe a few concoctions in you coffee.
  19. Everybody says abu and st croix for a reason they are good quality and price, with good customer service. The one rods I don't see mentioned to much are Fenwicks musky rods I have 2 older Fenwicks (hmg) that are very nice, also the st croix ac300 reel is the exact same as the Daiwa luna, (daiwa makes them) just has the st croix label on the side with some different cosmetics but same parts. Like mentioned above the shorter rods are used for jerkbaits, and some guys like 9' rods for bucktails, I basically found 6'6 for jerks, 7'6-8' for bucktails is what I like best.
  20. Mine automatically updates windows, as well as checks spy ware once a day and makes the computer run much smoother, but I updated the AVG free today with no problems.
  21. Sweet fish, smoke them they taste awesome, gets rid of the oil.
  22. Welcome, we'll be waiting for the reports, don't forget the pics.
  23. I would guess that they are to far off shore and to deep to venture out on the ice, I wouldn't feel safe out there even if there was any ice that far out. Rainbows would be closer to shore and you could pick up a Salmon if they were around but I suspect they are to far off shore.
  24. Nice fish Lew, looks like a storm was brewing up that day. I love that before the storm fishing it's magic at times.
  25. Dude, that's a good idea. even though you don't need it, it would make the bickering stop, and the guy would know you understand you rights.
