  1. Nothing worse than getting that index figer pointed in your face, my dad use to do it all the time and I knew it was trouble after that. Or when this guy did it. lol.
  2. That's a good pic, it raises a lot of questions. anything could be happening.
  3. Call them back and ask specific questions, If you think it's legit take the drive.
  4. I have/had ( it's buried around here somewhere) a mini stick singed by every player on team Canada (1994 I think) except Steve Yzerman, when team Canada was practicing in Collingwood for a week or so, and I was so dumb the mini stick had a sticker all the way down one side and it has since peeled off so now I have half signatures, lol.. I also have a picture autographed by Bobby Hull, he was at Don Cherries in Collingwood as well, it's with the stick somewhere. I think cards and autographs are not as valuable as they used to be, but you never know if you find someone looking for a particular item.
  5. Woohoo, I would like to see that hook set. I bend the hooks on 0/4 muskie trebles with 60lbs before the line breaks, and walleye jigs with 20lbs, I would think the rod would snap before the 50lb on a bass rod, that's crazy, you must have got some faulty line or bad knots or it sliced on a rock or something.
  6. Nice fish, to bad you were a little late with that fish.
  7. Bluegill Halibut Smallmouth Canadian Sturgeon Lews musky jk Lew what a beauty though, seen it over at Thorpes site, has some original markings. Ontario Muskie Tiger musky Salmon Rainbow Largemouth Swordfish Freshwater catfish
  8. I use PP and a flouro leader for everything. I can see where mono could be good at times but I don't use it anymore, as for the birds-nest I feel ya, but it hasn't been a problem for me with 20lbs braid on my walleye rods when I flip jigs. And your hooks will bend before you break 30lbs PP, but I guess you'll have to see what you like the best.
  9. Done. I have a couple close friends that have beat the odds, and a constant belief was the remedy.
  10. I mix it up every cast, long pauses, short pauses, steady retrieve, twitching, teasing the cat style. lol.. it all works. As far as colors, fisherman are to concerned with the looks of the bait when the action of the lure is 95% of attracting a fish, I use natural patterns in clear water, brighter colors in stained/dirty water, that's how I look at it, I try to keep it simple. Maybe your luck just stinks.
  11. I though musky guys were crazy using 80lbs braid but with $100 lures, filling the big reels and sharp teeth it makes sense. As for the bass guys using 50 lbs and heavier in the slop or flipping, it's funny to me, I would say 30lbs power pro would be my choice and more than enough power and easy to cast etc..imo.
  12. Bell Expressvu. They all suck though, considering most people only watch 10-20 channels, who needs the other garbage ? You should be able to purchase only the channels you want in a package deal. My list CNN Sports channels Discovery Fishing channel MTV A couple movie channels ABC NBC And 6 or 7 more I can't think of. Sorry just a little rant, but I'm sure everyone thinks this, who needs 2000 channels when we only watch 20 of them.
  13. Welcome back HUK. Confidence is a big thing, if your working the bait properly it's should only be a matter of time before you hook a fish on a jerk bait and get your confidence back. Jerk baits are my least used arsenal, but I like them in early spring and late fall for the slower presentations, caught a nice pike my first cast ever with a jerk bait on a firetiger suick. You'll get some just don't give up on them they do work at the right times.
  14. Not fair......lol.. If you look at a lot of record fish they were caught full of spawn very early in the year but most places in Canada have closed periods during those times. The walleye spawn right beside my place and I see some monsters in there but they shrink a lot after the spawn. I'm jealous that's all.
  15. Nice shot Dan, I love those misty mornings.
  16. Hey that's a good deal Mikeh, if I didn't have a motor I would probably pick that up too.
  17. That's awesome having open water already, good luck. Just a question, don't they have a closed period to give the fish some time to spawn ? It just closed here the other day untill May.
  18. I hope the young fellow has a blast and gets better every day.
  19. I agree it's supply and demand that's obvious, but I look at them the same as crack dealers except the gas companies make a slightly larger profit. And yes I will be getting my gas fix as usual.
  20. I got the wireless too, hit a few things going fast last year and didn't do a thing but scratch the lower unit, they seem tough to me. Motorguide 3 year warranty, Minn kota 2 years warranty, so they are confident in their product.
  21. Those ones are making me hungy.
  22. Very nice, better late than never, I'd say so.
  23. They look like Pterodactyls eggs to me.
  24. undefined This should help.
