  1. You were talking about this trip out on the boat a few weeks ago. You were pretty stoked to get up there. I was thinking to self,,nice trip to take. Im not retired,so,I got to stay local. LMAO Great report Rick. Glad it worked out for ya. Now back to Simcoe pike and smallies. TFS
  2. HA HA HA HA Ya enjoy yer ride up all. It was bumper to bumper at 3:40pm, at the Essa rd bridge. Word is,the long weekend Friday,is now on the Thursday. Hell that was my way of thinking years ago. Leave Thursday, come home the Sunday. Seriously though, have a great long weekend all,and be safe. Looking forward to many reports. Nick,ya home all weekend?

  6. Yes I was surprised to see a sign,LIVE BAIT. On my way to the local bakery,I seen the sign,Live Bait. As I looked,I didnt see much in this little side street mall. On my way back,I pull into the lot and there is this small little retail shop. Had to check it out. We have had two in the big city of Barrie, and all have closed up. Crazy thinking were on the big lake of Simcoe, but fishing from shore is not the greatest here, but spring and fall and winter, works the best here. Just a hop and a skip from the closed up Rack and Reel, the new shop has open up. The Bait Bucket 230 Innisfil st. As I walked in,I was greeted very friendly. I wasnt over shocked at the store,as it was just getting underway and is small, but has that comfort feeling.. Very friendly fella though. It was good to listen and share about buying local, and giving what the locals are looking for (He knew the history of the others). This guy seems to be on the right page IMO He wants to support the angler.. Listen to the customer, and do the best he can. My kinda guy. I was even up front. If Im saving me gas,or buying on line,I,ll be buying from him. I was straight up. Those that support local Im sure can relate. I wish Tom all the best here in Barrie. On a side note. He has a very nice collection of old lures and reels.. AND HAD MY TWO LUCKY LAKER LURES. I BOUGHTEM UP.

  14. Thats some nice ponys pushing it. The year of the boat is whats giving me the pricing problem on this package.
  15. Caught one of them too with the HB. What a fighting fish. Havent seen one in the Notty for many a years. You have them up there Sal? They are a great fighting machine.. Ya Okuma rods,SUCK.So dose their warranty program. If they have one.
  16. Nice fish. I was out for some river bass . Tried many different fly patterns, not a sniff, but when I switched up to catch some smaller trout,I hit many. Skeeters were killer.
  17. Who here remembers the Hell Bender 10'.6"? I have had mine since 1980. It was the long stick to be had at the time for bows and salmon on the riv I still have it,less 4 inches of the tip, due to my own fault.New tip and alls good. Fished with it til 2004. it,s caught it,s moneys worth of fish, Ganny, off the walls for many browns at the 4 sisters,,Credit,Bronte,Jordon,,Port del,Niagara. whirl pool. Thanks for making me think about the days.
  18. Nice bucket. 21"?
  19. Last brown trout I caught there was in the early 80,s. And that was at the bottom of the dam in the river. Im not sure if they still stock them there. As for bass,we got some real nice ones back then as well. Both largies and smallies. Is that ski jump still there? It,was at the east end of the lake. Use to watch ski jumpers there . Pretty cool.
