  1. Nice Steve. You guys ZIPPED right by my toon at BBP on Sunday. I loved watching the speed. The first guy that went by,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, HOLY CRAP. He was flying.
  2. Much larger Mr.B. I also found out that it is true. The larger toon is easier to row, and this one tracks so much nicer. Larger oars came with it, but I put the ones from ole blue on this one. Might have to rethink that. There is 14" dif in length. I cant see why something like that wouldnt work. Would take some engineering, but ya,I can see it.
  3. One of my fav songs. Hey Joe, know the guy in the hat? LOL
  4. OOP,S Sorry Joe. Real AC/DC friend.Cant beat the rasp in the voice.
  5. no worky Joe. I tried AC/DC ? Really?
  6. I still row and flip Rog. Got to stay in shape ya know.
  7. They are single PVC bladders. This morning was 3 ft roller,s and wind from the south. No issues. It takes me about 15-20 minutes to have it water ready. I like to use flippers,so the open foot well is welcomed to me. Also, the opening allows me to keep the fish in the water while recovering the bait and reviving. Like this one from my 3 hour outing this morning. ?
  8. Thanks fellas Seems to be a fish catching machine. LOL A nice one this morning. Was a nice morning. Those ripples you see on the surface is current. There was no wind or breeze this morning. It was crazy. Line was on a 45 deg angle. Will ad a short vid clip of the current shortly.
  9. The 10 ft of floro helps a bit. Forgot to take a pic. Tooooo busy hitting lakers.
  10. I,ll post a pic tomorrow of faded line that still works. Its bright red power pro. It,s white now. Fish don't seem to care. LOL
  11. I have been on the fence about going to a fishing yak or a larger toon for a couple of years now. I looked at many yaks and everyone I looked at, was so nice, but I was always going to have stabilizers for it. Getting old makes one think safer. When it really got down to the $,s of what I wanted, it just wasn't in my budget . An offer came that I could not refuse for a toon that would serve well for me. Getting older and old pains and new pains, I went with what would really fit my bill of health. My buddy Terry was going to sell his first toon. Knowing it was in great shape, I made an offer. I waited for the response. I was doing the happy dance when he said, OK. I picked it up yesterday and had it together and on the water this morning. It,s still raw right now. I need to make new holders for the finder and go pro and some rod holders as well as the frame is much larger then ole blue. I made do for the maiden voyage this morning. I already had the electric motor and battery. What a joy to just motor on out, sipping on my java. Once out there, I rowed around spot to spot. I found this larger toon moved so much easier then ole blue did. Not sure why Terry complained so much about rowing. ANYHOO Maiden voyage ended up with a nice laker. Terry buddy, thanks mucho. I am going to enjoy this new ride.
  12. When you hear a knock on the door, duck, Im going to slap ya.

  16. I would bet a trillion $,s , we both would walk by each other and not recognize one an other. WOW, look at that beard. Awesome Mr.B. Oops, fish too. LOL
  17. Hello Mr.B I have no idea, but thought I would drop in to say sorry. I drove right through Mono and man,I thought of you and should of pm,ed ya buddy when I made my trip to Fergus. I'm heading there again in September. I will 100 % get in touch with you to make a visit. Been too long my friend.
  18. Oh the things I have held together to get me by, bye. Why they make these things out of metal still is beyond me. With the new composites out there.
  19. You only scratched the surface with that trip. Great report Chris and thanks for posting.
  20. Me bad My idea was a simple 6' 2" square tube with 6" doubled up for ball height and the peg holes drilled in the other end for the truck receiver.
  21. Why not make a retractable sleeve over your existing trailer tongue? Your only talking 6" Those heavy duty locking pins will hold for towing as well. No dif then a swing hitch.
  22. When I first started out, I bought a cheap combo. I started out in the front yard. Ya, it,s right along the main rd here. LOL Got many a stares. Once I was comfortable, I went to the local streams and creeks. Thats where I ended up going home beaten. Not as easy as one thinks. I jumped on you tube and watched hours of fly fishing videos. Learned the rol cast, the side arm flick cast. Then back I went back to said creeks and got my confidence back. No fly pro by no means, but each outing, I improve. Now into tying my own fly's. This is something that makes the art so much more enjoyable and gratifying IMO. Last word Google maps is your friend.
  23. Hope the out come stays in your favor Wayne. Those are cool shots of the planes.
