The fish was 54 inches long and 24 inch girth. Caught it on Lac Soul in SouixLookout Apparently the eye fishing is awesome there aswell as some huge pike.

Yesturday was a joint club fun tourney and it was another day for the young lad to hook up with another boater and learn something new. When he found out what boat he was going to be on,he was very excited. The morning started off nice and calm but over cast.I would of preferred the sun,but what can ya do with mother nature. The prefish for this was awesome,but the day of,well sucked for me,but my partner was on fire.Again proving the back of the boat is the place to be.LOL I believe we had fourteen bites all day,and only missed on two (turned out to be an important two at the end of the day) The winds picked up and I got to say,I HATE WIND.A light breeze is fine,then you can work the weeds. We bumped in to the young lad and JP a few times,guess we had them going as the word got out we had fifteen pounds,I over exagerated.LOL Was a long day with some pretty tough conditions.The top five were with,n 5 oz,s. 1. -13.42 2. 13.32 2. 13.32 4. 13.22 5. 13.14 And again the young lad finished in front of me. Alex managed to win big fish. 4+ largie. A few fpic,s from the day. Im just holding these,they belong to my partner in front of me.LOL Nice fish there Alex.I know you read the board,thanks for a great day out there. After draining out the livewell,you can see why the pumps can get fouled.Nothing but craw shell pieces left.

Morning John,things got a little heckdict here on Saturday so the bps trip was put on the back burner.Sunday afternoon was Kempinfest day with the mrs,s,well, after a mornings fish. I get that from me mudders side of the family Roy. Pops side had the over hand,if ya knows what I mean.HEHEHEHE Terry never mentioned about the carp. There were thousands of them.Surfacing and it almost looked like they were gulpping for air,looked to me like they were dying. Terry on the other hand, thought maybe it was the algy bloom they were sucking back on,but man I never seen so many in such a long stretch.

Got one today while flipp,n a jig guess they will bite anything.LOL I use to catch the whiskers on frogs.Really pee,ed me off,they were for bass and real expensive.

When you uniknot,put the whole knot area in yer mouth and pull both ends.Just dont catch yer toung in the knot.LOL I used 8 pound CFX like I said last week,direct to the braid.Pulled fish out of weeds and all,no issues. Even yanked a few today on the river with Terry.Same lead and all,never changed up.

When you tye the knot,are you wetting it? Are you pulling both ends? Are you leaving a bit of a tag on the cut end? Never had an issue with the polymer knot .

Well if you ask me,that was a real black eye to Canada,s first Nascar race. First Harvick shows his sucky ways of not beable to race a road course,then Gordon puts a real Bull finish. You should of been in my house when that happen. Another thing that really disappointed me was the non show of the regular Busch drivers. Maybe they have criminal records and cant cros the border. The real winner of the race was the Aussie ,Ambrose.If Nascar had a set,they would of declared the race final after Gordons Bull.Glad to see Fellows finished 4th.
