  1. So how old do I need to be to enjoy such times off from Canada? Jokin sir, lovely report indeed. You should hit up your water where you have done well on in the past. I would never pass up the chance to fish water that holds few biggins rather than lot's of small fish. Ah well, your decision I just want to see a bass caught in December lol Thanks for sharing, MTBF
  2. Too cool man, wow this inspires me to buy a wp camera instead of more fishing gear. Might fall for Dave's Fuji camera he always talks about. Thanks for the report sir, MTBF
  3. Same here, it's because there are a lot of users on all the time...or at least I think. This may happen 2 days a week for me.
  4. Sure you can buy your baitcaster now but you prob wont get to use it to much. Suggestion: Spend between 90+ on a baitcast reel my friend. Trust me and many other fokes that will tell you the same. O and if possible wait for a sale...I tent to have a habit of not waiting lol. Good luck and come back for more help on how to tune the reel to lure weights for near perfect casts etc... MTBF
  5. Great Job! MTBF
  6. Entering for the Bass bud. Ok so it was mid August and I was getting up nice and early(5ish) in the morning to go out and catch a few bass on topwater. I fished on the "main" dock for a good 10minutes and caught nothing, not even a small hit...So I grabbed my stuff and the tri-pod with my camera on it and walked down the shore like to the "old dock". Walking across it all the earth could hear was thunder as this dock was old and made so much little noises. Anyway, I put my stuff down and took a giant cast out to this old dock that was half in the water and half not with random pieces of lumber and a small rock pile out off to the side of it. "It was cold out and not a breath of wind in the air, out went the 2" Rapala Skitter pop and after 1 twitch a huge movement in the water happened off to the side of it then the smack, waited a few seconds then set the hook and whoa there was some weight there. After 5seconds or so I switched on the video camera and got some of the fight from this big largemouth on film. The way it fought I thought it was a Smallie but when it broke the surface i was shocked." Brought the fish in and got the weight on her and it was a thick heavy healthy 6lb 130z largemouth bass, caught off shore with light line and a popper. E-Mail sent Steve MTBF
  7. Has a admin seen this/any possibly guys?
  8. Great report on such a fish filled journey. Lot's of pictures and words to describe them. Thanks for taking the time to put this together for us. MTBF
  9. Do you really need to make that many? lol, MTBF
  10. Is that the record breaker/did you find out?
  11. Better luck next time man, ugh must be terrible to catch so many small fish Better bring me next time 10/10 Great report and thanks for sharing, MTBF
  12. My buddy caught a 12" Ling in the Scugog River the other night while Walleye fishing...Not sure if they are abundant but there are some around.
  13. Thanks for the helpful posts Roy and Garry. Completely understand the concept now. Thanks, MTBF
  14. I wouldn't be able to go to all events(depending of course) but my friend and I were both liking the idea of pro/am tourny's, but this might be a good series if all goes well. Take this serious, if it were Scugog or Rice, perhaps Balsam or Couching I can and would be there, no big boat for me but hey it would do the job. At this time in the forum's life I think it can be done. I'm In, MTBF
  15. Ok guys. So having the brakes pushed outward puts them "on" meaning I should have all of these snapped outward from the center of the break
  16. That R-Type I bought had the 6 brakes that I can click outward or inward. Just wondering how they should be set(clicked towards the center or away/how many. Thanks, MTBF
  17. wow, some people just don't care.
  18. Glad you joined up Steve. Definitely hittin up some fish this winter for sure. Congrads again, MTBF
  19. The R-Type Baitcast was $129.99 before tax. I think the spinning version was 79-89. Saw it at a local bait shop...and Bought it just now! Very nice reel indeed. Going to toss around a jig in the river prior to closing I think to test it out. MTBF
  20. Was holding one of these baby's today and almost bought it. Very, very sweet looking reel and for the price I might just get it. Opinions or feedback from this beaut, I don't think I have seen it beore cept today. Link: http://www.rapala.ca/products/rapala/rtype_cast.php Think I found my baby, MTBF
