Ok, So I am in progress of going fishing at the start of January on Scugog...BUT, my Birthday is on the 25th of December(turning 18) meaning I need a license this year. I would like to get the Outdoors Card like my dad but I don't think I can fil out the info for it until I'm 18 and I'm assuming it would take a few weeks for it to come in. So, can I buy my conservation license sticker and be "legal" until my card comes in the mail? Thanks, MTBF

Huge fish ehg! And lazo, I think that bass would weigh between 3 and 3lb 8oz. I caught a smallie that was 22" long and only weighed 3lb's 4oz because it was ery very skinny, yours seems to have some more girth to it. Both great fish, You two Dr. MTBF

Hello All! This year for myself and some friends has been fantastic for catching big large and small mouths! Share your PB bass this year with us, bring back some smiles and memories. I know for myself every time I look at my biggin I grow a giant smile across my face. What have you learned this year that has helped you improve your bass fishing, new techniques etc, and what are you looking forward to next year? For me, spinnerbaits and jigs will be my new techniques to try next year. Tubes, poppers, and topwater frogs have been my "go to" baits this last summer. And I know for some, there is still some bass fishing left to go. Just wanted to see some of this summers big bass that Ontario has shown us! Thanks, MTBF

So, I might sissy up and get a cheap fish finder. As last year I took a trip to my Grandma's lake and did some Pike fishing off shore...and caught nothing A good chunk of the lake remains open in the start of march(Spring Break) and Pike is still open for a week or two(forget the exact date) then it closes for there spawn. Long story short I'll be taking the boat out this year and fishing with tipped jigs, spoons or small quick strike rigs out deep on breaks. I got a topo map but it's not 100%. So, back to the fish finder, mainly I'll be using it at those times of year, maybe depth and temperature. Not really needed for largies in the summer(depending on the angler). The Piranha Max 160 Fish finder is $129.99 and in the budget. I've seen it on sale so most likely wont pick it up until then. Just would like to here some feedback on he generously proportioned please. What kind of mount does it use, suction cup or a secure mount? Thanks, MTBF

wow, It was a chunky fish. My largemouth I caught on my Grandmas lake was 21" on the nose but it was a skinny fish, 14" girth I think it was. Just shows what a few more inches can do to weight 4lb 10oz vs 5lb 6oz....Perhaps I should go at the end of August next year lol
