Caught 1 miniature Pike and a decent sized pike again this afternoon. Both fish were caught on a spoon, the little guy chased in a spinnerbait then i threw the spoon out and he came out of nowhere and smashed it lol, it was exciting haha. Here are the pictures Baby Pike!! And the decent pike maybe 1 hour later. Saw some little 1 lb bass up really shallow in groups of 2 but no piggies on the beds yet from my location. Anyway got work tomorrow, have a god week everybody and until next time, MTBF

Pike Picture...Stripes or Spots?
MCTFisher9120 replied to MCTFisher9120's topic in General Discussion
Lmao, you guys are hilarious. I'm sure its a normal pike but hey it looked cool -
It was pointed out to me on another forum that the small Pike I caught this afternoon seems to have stripes on it's side. Do you think it's other generations may of been a cross with a musky or do some pike have pattern like this guy? Thought it looked cool anyway haha

I got 2 fish today. One at 12:30, the other at 3:30...it's a toss up but I never got to fish earlier than 12:15 or no later than 4pm lol

Hey everybody, well the last 3 or 4 weekends since opener I have been out chasing Pike and have done resonably well. First trip with GoneFishin hooked up with 2 pike for myself then 1 30"r for his self. Next trip out he came out with a big 30+ fish then just today I did some fishing with my day and I managed 2 decent Pike haha. Anyway here is a picture of Ricks pike from last weekend. He caught his on a jig Was a great fight haha, he can tell the story for that fish but hey we got it in the boat, was awesome. Then today I caught a pike right away fishing on a high bank with a Spinnerbait. This little chunk came out and bit that purdy trailer hook(deff getting more!) Here she is, nice little fight and some excitement And right before we left after covering lot's of shore I was fishing the yellow spoon semi fast. The bank was straight then it diped in a little bit forming a bowl shape. Brought the spoon right through it and this pike came out of the murky water and hit the bait perfectly in the corner of the mouth. Awesome fight and a well deserved fish after some missed fish out of the boat these past weekends lol. And another of course Well thanks for reading, until next time or bass season! MTBF

Almost all the Pike we caught in Pickering had a gash or something taken out of their side...was weird, even a oos bass had a bite out of it. Do you think they pike bite eachother like this during the spawn? Nice pictures Terry, definitely a weird looking pike lol

Lake Ontario hopefully for some Pike action. Will put together a report for you guys this time if i get out.

Sweet, I loved it when I caught my 2 gar back in 2008. There a blast, hope to see more pictures!

I see what you mean man and thanks for the comment. As for the frog rod, I do want a 7'H with a nice little tip. The avid is set at 5oz for the 7'H and the ltb is set at 4.5oz Perhaps the extra on a H action rod is worth it, like a jig rod. Since they are usually heavier it would be better to spend a little extra and get a lighter stick...but one rod at a time I'll post a pic of my Avid/Symetre I am 50% purchased towards next weekend

Haha, bad luck much eh Here is a pic of our camper, thats the inside of our mess And the outside of the mess Trailers are a great way to spend quality time with family, have had many early mornings our of mine where i would walk to the water, fish off shore then come crawl back to bed around 7am after 2 hours of topwater fishing...best part is the wet grass. But anyway, thanks for sharing. Betterluck next time!

I appreciate the help but I'm living at my uncles house 45mins NE f Kingston. Will be spending some time with my Great Grandmother too while doing my summer forage fish collection/vegetation collection for school. It's on her lake where I make my summer 2 week report...except I'll be bass fishing every day on this lake out of my tinny giving you guys weekly reports of big bass. Anyway, I'll look at them next weekend for sure because I need to be there anyway. In the mean time I'm off to bed...work has me soo tired lol. I'll check back early tomorrow morning. Thanks for the posts guys

lol, well I have my 2 baitcasters now and a Avid spinning rod that is bought...and at my parents house. Getting a Symetre spinning reel next weekend then a new setup for the spinnerbaits like ive been talking about. I like the Avids but the only problem is if I get the avid/curado then I might be a week late into bass season before I can get my frog rod(and im moving away from Oshawa and gagnonsports to a small town for the rest of bass season so like I cant get my quality gear that im trying to get) I need the spinnerbait setup within the 2nd weekend in June so I can have enough $ for the frog rod. I'll have to compare the avid to the premier in person guess. As for the mojo's there nice looking too but a tad heavier on most models.

So Like that Rapala TS2 rod I bought is a fine rod but I'm selling it to me dad and looking to replace with a Curado most likely. Now the rods...O dear lol. I have been looking at the St Croix Premier and the Avid. Both 7'MH 1pc rods. Now I know the avids seem more refined and sensitive but is it really worth the cash to get the Avid rod. I would rather get the Premier as it still has a good warranty and it is just a Spinnerbait rod. I can feel the blades moving and stoping with a 65$ rod so the advancement to the Premier would be fine IMO but hey I'll definitely spend the cash and get the avid. Again...might only be $50 or $60 bucks difference but that could be that much nicer to keep in the bank for my legend tourny frog rod lol. Avid 7'MH 4.7oz Premier 7'MH 4.7oz

HELP WANTED ON NEW DEEP CYCLE BATTERIES
MCTFisher9120 replied to buick14's topic in General Discussion
Good to hear about those Energizer's. I'm buying a Marine Energizer in a few weeks to go with my other Marine Battery. Will be running my Minn Kota Trandsom 30lb and a small bilge pump in my portable livewell all day usually. That with a Solar Panel will be perfect, having a spare is nice to have also (aka my Marine from last season). Was out with Gone Fishn 2 weeks ago and he has I think it's a 45lb Minn Kota with a 52" shaft on the front of his 14'. We ran that motor all day in the sun and that Panel kept the battery at a high charge all day long with a 30min break letting it charge some more. Best $20 I have ever spent lol, but these 2Amp things from CT work.
