  1. That's what I was wanting to hear! As long as I don't overly "open and close" the telescopic part of the rod it will hold it's strength. But...Xtreme rods are sick...it might be worth it to get the lightest rod for something like a 7'6. Don't get me wrong, I'll do my hmwk and find the best rod for the price...we shall see what i get, wont be buying another rod/reel until september time.
  2. Very healthy big catches. Must of been a fun day Thanks for sharing, MTBF
  3. Do you have or have used the 7'6MH LT ? It's a telescopic so im a little iffy on it and its much cheaper than the Xtreme 7'6 Has anybody used the LT pitching rod I guess is my sub question...much better price point but not to key on it being telescopic. Thoughts?
  4. Your absolutely right...sounds perfect when you put it in those words. It's nice when you get to your lake and open up a new lure or something...try it out and see what lurks in the new waters. I am heading in two weeks NE of Kingston for my annual trip to my Grandmother's/Uncles for a extended period of time...looking at 7 weeks rather than 2 or 3 so its going to be a blast. Very excited to "live on the water" for a little while...
  5. It does feel a bite nicer, you were right...it balances out a bit better too. Enjoy the revo, makes for a nice Pike/musky reel...its a workhorse!
  6. Picked up my last little pile of stuff before bass season starts up. Purchased a Curado 200E7 to go with my Legend Tournament 7'H frog rod...and some tackle haha. This combo feels so right and light. Very excited to get out Froggin! Cheers, MTBF
  7. What is the Gloomis world like...I was holding a 7'2H "Topwater" rod it was called by loomis. Pretty nice feeling but not sure about them yet...there pricy but seem to be specific in actions.
  8. Nice report. Love the whitefish, great job!! Thanks for sharing, MTBF
  9. Monster fish, great catches. Got to try some cat fishn' some day! Thanks for the report, MTBF
  10. You got a point but then I would need to buy a reel for that rod right. I want a STX on that LTB I think, so when I do I'll take off the SX and buy a rod for it in the 7'MH or 7'M cranking rod would be nice. All In due time, this summer i wont be buying anymore stuff i dont think. maybe early fall ill get a Xtreme 7'6 jig rod but well see what the finances are like
  11. Nice catch, there such fighters
  12. Haha, BB you have been away for too long haha. Been using Baitcasters since last fall. There awesome and soo easy to fish with man. Only have 2 but there solid setups. And Sinker...your right. However, for somebody like myself who caught em before I can see progression in my fishing with quality refined gear. Nothing amazing but hey, I'll love the opportunity to have different setups this season...for some they buy thee best just because they can. Believe me, these rods are high end for myself even but ive made the decision to buy quality gear since I fish lot's and am preparing for possible tournys in a season or two.
  13. Welcome home! Purchased the 7'H frog rod today and it's going to be perfect haha.. Currently put the R-Type rod with the reel, and now have put the Revo SX on the new St Croix Legend Tournament 7'H Frog Rod. Would like to find a Revo Premier to put on this rod But that's another in the books. Send me a PM if anybody wants a new Rapala TS2 7'MH lol. This looks like its the last rod for the summer, would like that Premier then a avid spinnerbait rod to put the SX on. Anyway, cant break it in until bass season...only a few more weeks!
  14. It's looking like Largemouth on Lake Seymour with a buddy haha, so pumped!
  15. Bought a new deep cycle today. 120min capacity and 60something cranking power. Brand new. I have a older Motor Master charger that I've used on my Marine/Starting battery and I am kinda guessing I set my charger right for the last year haha. Here are the setting...try to imagine this Normal/Deep Cycle(im assuming dc for the dc battery and normal for the starting) Then beside that is a title called A/V Selector Under that it says 70 A Start/12 A/2 A/12 A Under the 12/2 option it says 12V Auto. Under the 2nd 12 A option it says 6V Manual. I always charged under Normal/12A(12V Auto) Hope I get some help
