  1. I am trying a something new this year suggesred by Mike Borger. Adhesive backed cork cut to size and layered to the right depth. Did it one layer at a time till I reached my desired depth. Made sure it is nice and snug just enough. I was intending to use nanofil so I spooled 10 yds.of 8lb. Mono then the braid. Worked well so far. As for hooks I use 6 to 10 depending on the bait as they suggested. I tend to use the thick gages though.
  2. Love this song ....mind your manners
  3. Easy buddy don't break your back with that musky. Lift with yourback straight and bend the legs lol. Those lsc musky are beautiful. Is that strain specific to lsc?
  4. No matter which site you go to, you'll find that there will be Bull and idiots to your standard. I keep coming back here bec. This has always been where I felt I fit in. I have been reamed and put on MOD Q , HURLED WITH HOMOPHOBIC JOKES.I'm still here. I'm pretty thick skinned. A good ribbing is healthy once in a while lol.
  5. Thanks guys for the input. I really like this line so far and like Bill said there is a time and place for everyrhing. I do find that the mono lines have better abrasion resistance my favorite is the maxima ultra green Have little experience with the flourocarbons but have heard mixed opinions about it. When I was using power pro I liked it As well. I used it a lot while carp fishing. Once in a while they did cut off on the rocks on the bottom but found it better than the nanofil in that respect. Now this was a few years back . Love the line stretch aspect on the superlines. Makes setting the hook with a little more ease. They float as well which is a bonus in some situations.
  6. I have recently spooled nanofil on two reels. One on a spinning and have had the chance to use it a few times. Making knots on this line is a breeze. Casts beautifully and is quite better than the ones I tried out years ago. Had a fish on off the piers and it all but rubbed slightly on the rocks and off goes the fish. I like the line so I just added a 10 lb ultra green leader in the end. Having little exp. On the modern super lines what have you guys tried and found great when it comes to abrasion resistance? This has already been covered but would like go hear your thoughts on it. Thank you in advance.

  22. That was amazing about your grandther. You must be very proud. Those clocks are a gem I bet. Didn't they have snipers dedicated on shooting them(pigeons) down during the wwII?
  23. That makes sense with the calculation, they spend all the time in their own coup so I would assume they go back to their own.
