  1. Oh and Merry Christmas too all!! (and to those those who celebrate other festive events I hope you all the best and a joyful time)
  2. All I want is my kids and parents to have good health and a great year! This past spring was very hard on my folks with the basement flood and it's worn them down. For me, time to get out fishing with the family or solo and maybe find a new woman in my life. I told my folks, don't waste a penny on me as I don't need anything. Hell I can use lot's but never going to ask for it! I just want a decent year is all and for my parents and my kids to be in it as much as possible!! Nothing else, just that!
  3. either out front his home or where he would access the lake just up the road. 4" is decent to walk on but that's all.
  4. Some times I miss those days (mainly due to the pay I was earning) but most days I don't. So I hear yeah there! But I did really like my time in New Bern NC when I went there...
  5. I only know the brand as I had a Viper alarm put in a car around 20 years ago and it was the best back then. Times change for sure. I'd never "jump the gun" without looking into it BUT with luck it does what you need it to do at a reasonable price JD. Good luck!
  6. Ah yes I have heard of this "cooking method" (using citrus) without cooking yet I have never tried it. However I'd be game to give it a go.
  7. In bold of the quote, what's that? Like having sushi, raw fish meat?
  8. - one bad knee..

  10. Also check BestBuy as some places do radio upgrades and auto starters and yes they are trained to do the starter install. Brand I have no clue as my truck came with one from the factory. Even try the dealership you deal with for said car JD and see what they say.
  11. This snow shovel'er works better with the drink in me...
  12. Will do and sounds good. I just worry about the 'spill' factor on most soups unless it's in a can or sealed like Mr N is and just add water. I've had the toboggan tip behind a sled or even walking (going down a grade from shore to ice).
  13. Yeah cause it's so easy to boil water and wait. HAHA We had a G2G a few years ago on Scugog (another site set it up) and we had a great meal! "shore lunch" of crappie and walleye on the ice. AND a lot of fried wings in a homemade hot sauce that was just amazing!! The food depends on the day, length of trip and who all is going. I'd love to be sitting in a hut with maple bacon cooking on low while fishing cause the smell it would leave in the hut and the sure joy of eating maple bacon...
  14. I'd NEVER waste a beer on it!!! even if it did run better...
  15. From food going in to food going out. This is going to get a little more interesting... HAHA
  16. I love the european type pepperettes heated on the blackcat heater for a snack and mr noodle is always good for a light easy meal (and some as chum )
  17. MTD made my currently not working Poulan Pro
  18. I picked up a new Rapala spud/chisel at Can Tire in Lindsay today for $29.93 (1/2 price) and there is one left. http://www.canadiantire.ca/en/pdp/rapala-ice-fishing-2-piece-chisel-1784200p.html#Clearance
  19. Great, I'm off this Friday, 22 and 24th if those work out for you msg me
  20. That area took a very long time to even freeze over last year and I'd never go there. The OP (Ernie) is the only one I have fishing that lake with on the ice as he lives there and knows it that well (where current is or isn't and humps and or weed areas). I won't fish that lake often in the winter. But if I do I spud out to the spots I know from being with him that should be safe.
  21. Thanks Cliff but I'm stuck working on the weekends I don't have my kids. It's a trade off so I get my kids every other weekend.
  22. I had a curado 301 and it cast very well and was good for smaller baits. the second I tried bigger baits with it I found they didn't work as designed and I was wearing myself out faster. go big on the reel and if there is only the 7' and 9' I'd go 9' for casting distance and figure 8's boatside. I too am by no means a musky expert. that's just what I'd do if I was going to get back into targeting them. I sold 95% of my musky stuff mid season this year...
  23. I like being outside Lew but not when it's the heavy stuff. To make matters worse, one person walking down the sidewalk said "looks heavy eh?" and there was a 2nd smaller shovel there. And a car passing by on the other side of the road almost came to a full stop just to watch me, when I looked eye to eye they then drove off.
  24. Does the Mrs know that your location does that for you?!?!?!?!
