The only place I have stayed at with my kids is Halimar in Haliburton. Fishing for bass, walleye and panfish right off the dock or a short paddle boat trip into the bay. Pool and beach for swimming. Boat rentals too if you changed your mind as well as dock space if you were to bring a boat. They also run a kids camp so you have some you time and sometimes they even overlap so at meals like dinner. The food there is great. We liked it so much we went 3 years in a row. They knew what I liked to 'drink' after the first night and they went to the LCBO and stocked up in-case I wanted a bvg with dinner. *edit to add* they have some nice bike trails there and a golf course up the road. They even supply bikes to use free so one less thing to pack. If you go just make sure they have bike sizes in working order as I'm sure you can guess they get treated pretty rough from some folks...

I didn't look at either link but G3 is Yamaha I think and when I was in the market a few years ago it was the top on my list. The wife nixed that and now she's and ex and I have a different boat But the G3 series/brand looked well made BUT never rode in one.

Do you 'long time members' recall young_one and his fiberglass tracker sinking to the bottom of BOQ (in Nov years ago) as the safety foam to keep it a float failed? His was new from the showroom and that wasn't the only problem he had with that boat.

It may make them weaker from lack of real nutrients or less healthy but I do recall seeing a video of a guy who gut a rainbow trout and it was FULL of all sorts of plastics and still feeding on his lure for him to land it. Yes it's not good at all for the water and fish to toss baits but no proof they are killing fish. If so, they would be off the shelf I'm sure.

I'll be there Sat with the kids playing in the park and watching all the fish come up to spawn. The perch spawn is good too as the musky come in to gorge.

My fathers friend got one of those and it was great for him. He got it about 6/7 years ago and Craig Ritchie (spelling of last name may be off) gave review of the boat. The ONLY reason he no longer has it is due to age and not able to fish anymore. If he was able then he's still be in it for sure as he enjoyed the ride even though he went with an under powered version as he was a troller.

yeah and it's brutal. We have rights too but seem to be loosing more and more each day...

Had to head to my folks again today to check on the place due to a power outage (check the genny) and 4 mile is starting to open up mid lake. I'd guess other smaller lakes like it will be ice free soon too.
