  1. you had me at beer...
  2. Do you have a compressor? If so, blow some air in the hole as a spider may have gotten in there and it is clogging the hole. Go get a set of “earmuffs” as well as that works much better then the garbage can.
  3. The way I read the reg's Mike, NO.
  4. When I firts read it I thought it said "Pike SLAMS a beaver" it would be interesting to see that too...
  5. Watch out Mike. http://www.mnr.gov.on.ca/MNR_E001336.pdf Look on pg 3. No fishing there right now... page 3 of the pdf says "Scugog River (Lindsay) - Ops Twp., from Trent-Severn Dam to Ops-Fenelon boundary" but you can call the MNR too. Your best bet is to call the MNR Info Line at 1-800-667-1940 the MNR say that "The OPS/Fenelon boundary is in a line with Pickeral Point road, across the water to Ken Reid rd."
  6. I think it would be much better if the guy was named Geoff...
  7. Thanks guys. It sure was a good time fishing with them. My daughter asked every day if we could fish, is was so fun. I have a brand new rod and reel sitting there back in FL as I didn't get to use it as they were on the fish all day every day. Cheers.
  8. Hey all. So I'm now back from my week of visiting my in-laws down if Florida. They have this "grandkid's pond" there stocked with bluegill (and the odd non-stocked gator). Here is a few pic's of the one day fishing for about 1 hour. At one point my daughter turns to my wife and says "here mom, let me use his rod so I can get a fish hooked as I catch a fish every cast"... LOL! Ya know what, she did too! I swear she got a fish every cast. We spent more time putting on worms and taking fish off then we did fishing! With that said, here are the pic's and short videos. You have to listen to my daughter in the one, LMAO! Cheers. Geoff The start to the day: First cast: First fish: Second fish: More fish: Daddy sneaks in a cast with my daughters rod (I left mine behind): A few videos for you:
  9. Glen's busy with the spring fish I guess. Grant on the other hand, well, I'll have to txt him when I'm home as I'm ready to get into some TO pike (WHEN WE CAN).
  10. Only $15? Try going to a Leafs game, HAHAHAHA. Your sore all over after that...
  11. Gee Dave, are you sure you want to "guide" her? I hear she can "switch hit" too. (Baitcaster and spinning)
  12. Hey all. I hear your guys are getting better weather this week then I am, down in not so sunny FLA. I found a really cool bait shop the other day called Anglers Outpost and Jim was a solid guy to deal with. He even gave my 1/2 price on a new spincast rod for my kids to use and a few free custom jigs. I sure didn't expect to get that kind of service when I was only spending $20 (not incl. kids rod) is his store. I'm going to tie on one of those custom jigs later on this week and if they produce like he said they would for the blue gills then I'll be back to buy more as they should lay a beating on the crappie back home. Well that's all for now, have a good one. Cheers. Geoff
  13. For those that don't know me, I've got decent size "mit's" and use a LG/cadet glove. Today I took the wife and kid's down to the kid's pond in FLA for some blue gill fishing. It was a great day even though a nasty cold front and rain srorm blew in. We fished for just under an hour and we landed a few fish and the bigest was the size on my hand with my fingers spread out. Fish were caught on worms and micro tubes. Next time I'll try and bring the camera... cheers. Geoff
  14. Great pic's. I have to take the kid's out there one day...
  15. Thanks Will. I hope it's better, LOL! I just got the kids a new rod and reel as well (we had one here) and one for myself too for the panfish. Yee haa, going softwater fishing in 2 days.... (first some golf)
  16. Oh man Roy... Just found out the kids post was just stocked with some bluegills.
  17. If there is a report I sure will post about it. It might have to do with golf more then fishing as that's what they do down there... Look out Tiger, here I come... LOL
  18. Have a good week folks and play nice I'm off to FLA in the next 12 hours or so for a week for fishing (when I can get out) and golf with the wife and kids. Have fun and be safe while the ice melts on the lakes. Geoff
  19. do you have enough space to put of an outdoor garage made of canvas over the boat on your land? If so, it costs a lot less to get one of those and a tarp or two vs. paying for wrap every year and storage fee's.
  20. nice fish for sure.
