  5. Beautiful fish. Thanks. Nothing better than fall up there.
  6. I know Garrett has used them and like kickingfrog said, a few others. There were a few posts about them a year or so ago, nothing bad was said about them. And their prices are great. PM Garrett, if I recall correctly, you could quote OFC and they will help you out. Dont know if thats still going on though.
  7. Arrogant and ignorant. Its one thing to do it and to learn from it, its another to say, "People have only been holding them like that for decades including professionals and million of anglers." No respect for the species or the sport.
  8. I disagree. If your rod goes for a swim, you dive after it. I couldnt let $600-800 just swim away. Great post either way.
  9. Have to agree with Terry. I totally disagree with killing any Musky of any size, but none of us are in any position to comment if it is within his legal rights. I also think ALL MUSKY should be RELEASE ONLY. The only way to get that passed is if enough people voice their opinion. I personally dont want anyone pushing their religion on me, so I dont push my morals on them. Cook it like a pike, just as Terry says. This one should get locked down pretty quick.
  10. Wow 65 lbs. Thats great Steve. How long did you run for when you first started? At what pace?
  11. I guess a lot of things change. I grew up from the ages of 1 to 22 spending every summer in Pointe Au Baril (last day of school until first day of school). When I was 11 or so, my parents bought the place across the road from the Park (Camp Georgian). We ran that for 10 years and that was that. I knew all the park staff and everyone at Sturgeon Bay Marina (Dan, the owner, lived on site). Going up every year, we pretty much knew all the regulars in the park, as we once camped with them, and eventually serviced them with the store, boat rentals, canoe rentals and wood. Of all the years I spent in Sturgeon Bay, there was maybe 1 incident I can recall where theft/vandalism was involved. It was very minor. There used to be a mutual respect for anyone camping. A camper was a camper. You could leave whatever you wanted in your boat, car, open on your campsite. No one would dare touch it. Your campsite was your own while renting it. No one even walked on your campsite. Lately, it seems that a lot more uneducated outdoorsmen/women are venturing to the near north (the 400 extension isnt helping) and there is no more respect for campers alike. They bring their city mentality to the near north and disrespect both their fellow campers and their surroundings. I am not sure the cause of their actions, it could be upbringing, it could be their cultural background, it could be pure ignorance and stupidity. Whatever it is, its disgusting and needs to stop. No ones boats would have ever been touched, gear would be considered untouchable. I am glad you got your motor back, and its a shame about Tizfun's experience as well. It really urks me that this area has had these events happen. If anyone is in the park go talk to Dave Watts or anyone else that has been camping in the park for years and years and ask them about when Dennis Stanley ran the park. There was a sense of community in a 76 site park. Sorry for the completely off topic post, but this just really bugged me. Camping/cottaging is supposed to be fun and relaxing and you get people like this who ruin it for some. I could go on for hours with this but I am done. Glad you got your stuff back.
  12. Thanks guys, I will contact all to see what the best price i can get is.
  13. Great Job Jacques, it looks fantastic.
  14. Hey guys, I own a 2000 Chev Silverado and need a part. Today while driving on site, I tried to undo my window and nothing happened. I could hear the Motor working, but the glass isn't moving. I am only able to sandwich the glass with my hands and manually pull it up and push it down. So I took my door apart after work and looked around. At first i thought it was the glass holders (sorry not a car guy and dont know the technical name) as the rubber pad on the one side had been displaced. Fixed that, and before putting the door back together I thankfully tested it. Nothing happened still and the motor was moving. So I did a little more poking around and realized that the Regulator Cable had snapped and was hanging freely. I came in called CTC, they couldnt get the part. Called Part Source, $179.99. So I took my search online. Checked out a few sites, they had the parts, a lot cheaper than Part Source but I always check third party reviews before ordering anything online from a new company. Turns out they all have the same reviews, with the same problems. So now i am stuck and need your help. Where can I pick up a 2000 Chev Silverado LT 5.3L Driver Door Regulator for a decent price? Or am I stuck with PS and CTC? I am in Ottawa but I am in the GTA almost every weekend. Thanks for your help guys Mike
  15. Fantastic job Glen. A sense of humor and an incredible talent. Now if you could just have the looks to go with it. haha. Honestly though, they look amazing.
  16. Great, whats Frank's screenname on here? Roy, thanks for the idea with Len Thompson. Looked at the page, and looks exactly like what I am looking for. I will send them an email. Also, I am out in Ottawa now, so if you are ever in need of a tag along, let me know. Thanks again guys, Mike

  18. Great Thanks. Does anyone know if Eppinger will entertain these types of requests?
  19. Hi guys, I have an odd request, does anyone know where I could purchase anywhere from 100-150 either Spinner baits or Spoons with either an Engraving or painted short script on them each? I dont need them until August of 2010 but would like to order them soon. I dont need packaging, just the lures are they are gifts. If anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Mike
  20. Hmmmm secret spot....how can it be secret if there is a specific town close by? it cant be secret, can it
  21. Another vote for the S-10's. Instead of leather though, see if you can get a piece of hard rubber. It protects the boat, won't damage, and the clamp pads bite into it giving it a superb grip. Put it on both the interior and exterior and it will be fine. and no, the don't slip, EVER!!!!
