  1. Surely the 4' Finnbores are still at LeBaron's too. Man, they'd slice through so quick and easy. Good idea Shane... gonna try that too.
  2. Ohhh you gotta be fnkiddinme! That's gnarly dood! Job well engineered and done Terry.
  3. Every year it seems more are disappointed with both shows... or maybe at least they're the ones who post the most about it. If it sucks save yer bucks!
  4. After viewing that Pete... I do wish it was June. Actually mid September by the time muskies get going for me. Anyways, total freakin' incredible year for ya dood! Those LOTW pics my fave but that Larry tank a goodun too. Rate you're going, 2015 you'll be blowing holes in every muskie nuts shorts when you post your fishes here.
  5. Not sure what it is... maybe they're all fans of Dan Bilzerian and they all suddenly just took 5 minutes or so of their time to look and vote for a fish before resuming their regular Facebook programming again. lol. Like I said, it's fishy... but not jumping to any one conclusion about it. We'll keep asking and searching out our own different social and work communities in hopes of votes that can be counted as such.
  6. Fishing will resume early March Brian. Probably an ice report come April when nobody will give a crap about seeing ice reports.
  7. In other words we're still in second place so if you haven't thrown a vote, please do... We'll keep trucking along. Lol. Thanks all.
  8. She did yes, finally. But then somehow another person received 1500+ votes (many foreign) within mere minutes before those votes just stopped nearly dead. Ahhhhh well... I know Bren, she'll just take that as a challenge and keep going.
  9. Contest is in its last couple of days now and Bren's made up a tonne of ground. Bren's Arctic char picture truly is a contender. The day she caught that fish one of her proudest angling achievements. You like the photo please take a Facebook minute and "like" the photo. All votes help out. Thanks OFNers
  10. Terry yer a sweetheart. Still going. Super support here as always. Thanks gang.
  11. Good luck bud, and safe and speedy recoveries. Thanks beard brother Clive. Appreciated Joey. Thanks lovey.
  12. I caught her sliding one in there under Mrs. Whopper. Cool. Bren's a long way off from the lead and it'll be tough one to catch. However, she's no quitter in the least and is still chasing the hope. As long as she does, I'll continue trying as well.
  13. I'd hope to. Thanks bud. It was 21 to 22 pounds. She caught the big one of the trip, as she often does. This was an incredible catch really, not only because of its size and power coupled within that small and intensely rapid pool but, it was the fact for hours Bren knew and had been catching glimpses of this one fish at the base of the falls in the foam and, she kept casting to that exact spot all afternoon. I caught plenty fish in the meantime, but she hooked the best only.
  14. Not everyone gets along... but what always surprises me most are the people who don't like or even bully someone they have either never met, never really talked to, or ever had any personal issues with. Haters in other words, of a real ignorant kind. Anyways, guys I've met like Wayne, Matt, Doug and those others in the thread with some long greys, interesting perspectives or maybe hard stories, some of your shared thoughts and experiences do wonders to help make life a little more easily understood for those younger but, getting there. Don't apologize for rambling either Bruce. Well said.
  15. Cool doods! Thanks. Bren called me this evening and said she actually had a hard time sleeping last night. Excited. Loves competition, doesn't like losing, and I don't mess with that. lol. Tough competition this time around though... Don't think so but maybe waaaay down the way. The Louttit's of James Bay were four Scottish ship builders, brothers that came over from the Orkney Islands in early 1800's to work for the Hudson Bay Company. The rest is in-law family tree history stuff. lol No sir Jimmer! Four years ago the gang here helped me win a writing contest MB. From that trip came the char in the photo. We'll see. Again, tough competition for Bren... and I. Do appreciate you blowing the dust off your FB account Doug and sliding in a "like." She's friggin' spoiled that's for sure. lol. Or is it me? Somehow I knew you were gonna say that! lol. Surely Bren thanks all for the likes already, as do I. And takes nothing to click the link and show the support if you're willing. Bunk
  16. Don't trust your GPS Doug. Dang thing has been giving you issues since ya got it! lol. Pretty sure I know what you're up to out there and I hafta wonder if you just missed "that" spot on the spot by a wee bit. Trusting the GPS for depth accuracy isn't ever exactly 100%. 30 years is a long time too... that difference of 4 feet could be all the zebra mussel shells that have settled to bottom. lol. Get them lakers bud!
  17. Wicked awesome doods! OFC moment at its finest.

  19. Mrs. Moosebunk... my Brenda, entered herself in a photo contest on Facebook to win a fishing trip to the Arctic. Bless her heart really, she could just be "hooked." And, of the many submissions her picture with caption just made it to the final round of 12, which of course now requires some "likes" in order to win. For this good woman on a fishin' mission; and yeah maybe just me too, could any of you folks with a Facebook account poke in there just one time quick and show some support by voting with a "like" on Brenda's photo entry. I know full well she loves the Arctic as much as I do and it'd be cool if we could bring it on home here with a win. Click on the link to the photo here... https://www.facebook.com/adrianskokoutdoors/photos/a.780149942062561.1073741846.607926265951597/780150072062548/?type=1&pnref=story Thanks all. Bunk.
  20. BINGO! Even when home, it's a long time between shifts. lol. Like to stay busy.
  21. Night is best for ling but not the only time. They will hit laker presentations. Pyzer had a solid article on the big lures for ling being go-to. Talking 1-2oz jigheads with tubes or BIG heavy jiggin' spoons. Pound bottom with that. You can certainly find them mixed with whiteys and lakers.
  22. Voila... it is how you say... Magnifique! Deliciousse! Le pain avec le fromage sur le grille!!! Bon appetite.
  23. Got to a computer that would let me watch that. Had seen it, still funny. Splake are my nemesis. You have no idea. Funny but, I would go to this lake from time to time and probably a half dozen or more over the years. Never a fish. This fall I was kinda sorta guiding an American friend here for 4 days, take him to the lake so he can try for his first splake and of course... he bangs a 21.5 incher. Catching a few this time around, that really is because of the backwoods trout knowledge my buddy Mike has. He's "Pro" and always has been. Is that how they put it? Didn't know. But I could see those stuffy teapot, banger and mash munchers saying something like that. Wondering if there's a punch-line a coming to handling blondes or, if you're asking John? Camera most often used now is a Nikon D40X but, still use the Lumix plenty too.
  24. Hope Sinker and I can make it there in the future... Really not that far for a day trip. Cool Mr. Brock!
  25. Thanks Lew for logging on once a day for your entire life. 85,000,000 times... incredible bud! Haha!
