  1. I use one every time I trailer our boat. 90hp merc. We run 11-12 hours straight thru from PA to Nippising a couple times a year with no problems. Have been doing this for quite a few years. I would use one
  2. Interesting. Last year I had a 20" LargeMouth hit my Double-Cow girl on Nippissing. Nice to see some folks are catching some ski's this year.
  3. That's great Regan - what a fantastic first year you folks are having at Mashkinonje. Dreams coming true in a big way. Too bad I can't get that show here in the states - I would love to see it. You'll have to record it and show it to us next June.
  4. Nice to see some folks are updating their PB this year. Congrats to ya. Two different species in the same day ... that don't happen very often.
  5. Awesome. So there are nice fish in the west arm. LOL
  6. We're all with you folks.
  7. Keep asking the questions Jim ..... That's how we all learn. You may Jjust ask a key question the the rest of never thought of. Oh yeah - we want to sea pic of the big one you catch..
  8. Oh yeah .... That do hurt. We fish the West Bay quite often and if we go off our normal routes and locations, we putter along and keep a close watch - even if the map shows plenty of water underneath. Several years back, when the water levels were 4 or so feet down, we found several rocks in south muskrat that we never knew were there. They be marked now on my GPS.
  9. We will definitely be thinking of you both. Keep us posted Lew
  10. I agree with the longer rods. I started with a 6 foot heavy rod and what a pain it was. Moved to 7' and now got one 8'. Longer rod, easier casting and a heck of lot easier doing the fig-8. I use 80LB power pro on all our musky rods. Be sure to have a good fish-friendly net to handle the size of the fish you may encounter. Good set of pliers and something to cut the hooks if you need to. I have a paid of Knipex bolt cutters and have used them at times to speed the process of getting the hooks out I also have a pair of good landing gloves for handling the fish and lifting out for a quick pic. Oh yeah - get yourself a boatload if patience. LOL
  11. So it is your fault !!!!!!!!!! I knew it
  12. Everyone is catching a Muskie but me. :-(. LOL However, I do congratulate you Pete on your PB Nice going.
  13. I guess in am just cruising along - at least for on other 9 months
  14. Awesome report and a lot of jealousy here. Great pics too and lots of nice pike. This must be on my bucket list to do.
  15. Ski's not active recently .... You got that right. Been on the French 1 and 1/2 weeks ...... NOTHING. Had some follows, but no takers
  16. You must keep that cold weather down south there Lew !!!!!!!
  17. I gotta stop musky fishing and start bass fishing. Congrats on a really nice catch.
  18. Where abouts are these pics ? I'm heading up that way over night tonite - up to the French river by morning
  19. Nice report and sucks about the lower unit. I hit the West Arm for the first time this year and did a little exploring back towards Cross Lake, but didn't go quite that far. All new water for us as well and we took it easy, sticking to the main channel. I think Navionics has teh West Arm mapped now, so I'll be getting an update before next year. As you noted, they're not always reliable. Even during the deep freeze of winter, the ice can move the rocks around a bit. Where were you staying if I can ask ?
  20. That was one whale of a trip and a bunch of beautiful Muslims. Congrats.
  21. Welcome Dave.
  22. Congrats Luc. That is indeed a beauty of a Pike.
  23. Good to catch up with you folks again this year. Sooty the fishing was tough this year, but sure does beat sitting at home
  24. Welcome to OFC. Where aboutrs are you from and what kind of fishing and species are yoiu after ? Oh yeah - we love pics, so where's the pic of this 125lb blonde ? Remember, we are all fisher-persons here and we NEVER lie.
