  1. Thanks, reviews are good and for what I would use it for it seems like it would be sufficient. I think I'll give it a go.
  2. You have always been and will always be a fisherman Lew. You are now just a retired fisherman. And the legacy you have left is proof of that.
  3. Ricoh WG-M2 Action Camera Anyone heard of this one or have feedback? It's an airmiles offer and am considering getting it if it is good quality. Thanks
  4. Oh well, I tried lol Ok. No players for Canada. The rest don't count And Babcock is still a wing in my mind. His career is now over that he has tainted an otherwise brilliant career by getting that dreaded blue and white disease on his hands. Nice to Milan Michalek playing. Always liked that guy.
  5. Was out in the country framing a house for a client. No radio on, I went into town to get some coffees and everyone in the store was standing around a TV watching it unfold. Was shocking, I went back and shut down the site for the day thinking that the guys would want to get in touch with their families and relatives. Brutal day for sure.
  6. Certainly not one of his better moments lol. Was kind of funny, I bet he was a bit embarrassed about that one. You can be sure he won't get caught like that again. Would be great for Sweden to lose again, that way Karlsson will come back pissed off and hungry for a win. It also appears that we will not be seeing any videos like that of laff players will we. This tournament is kind of like the playoffs for the laffs. Non existent and no players involved.
  7. So I see the laffs are falling apart even before the preseason starts Goalie Anderson hurt playing the Slovacs, upper body injury and most likely a shoulder injury. Looks like another last place finish and first pick for the laffites again, just as the Hockey news predicted.
  8. So lucky to have seen them 8 times. Went to the Ottawa show last Thursday as well. It was unbelievable!! It was without a doubt the best concert I have ever seen, emotions were through the roof.
  9. hahaha...you freeking kill me Dax!!! I guess we'll see who's the loser on the French soon enough eh! LMAO
  10. As we do every year we rented an island with a cottage for a week. This year we did it just wifey and I due to kids not around. The week started out good last Sunday with arriving and unpacking and getting set up. No fishing was done in the boat due to timing and needing to get settled and get some food/beer into us. Monday my wife and I headed out to see some lakers and we were in to a few that were not really pic worthy. But we were happy to see them. Then the weather turned and it got stupidly hot, way to hot to enjoy being out in a boat melting. From Tues to Friday it was like the fish just disappeared. We jigged, trolled all depths and we marked them in the spots they usually are, just no action. Like they had lockjaw or something. Overnight Friday the weather pattern finally broke and we had cooler temps and rain and lo and behold the fish turned on again. Had a old boat show on the lake and what a nice day sitting watching them go by. Also got a 4lb smallie on a 5 wt fly rod off shore on the island. I had seen the fish come in several times over several days and I patiently worked it until it bit. On a fly I tied to boot. To say I was excited would be an understatement. Get time solo with my wife. Here are some pics of the nicer fish.
  11. https://www.facebook.com/whatever/videos/864287163716028/ Looks like there is hope for The Donald after all bahahhahaha
  12. That's perfect rational for electing a nations leader lol !
  13. For many, many years my wife and 2 daughters and I have rented a cottage on an island on Big Rideau Lake. It's a beautiful island with a rustic cottage and no electricity. It is propane powered with a fridge, hot water tank, stove and gas lighting. This will be the first year we go without our daughters and second year without our boy copper. It will be different to say the least. We will still do the usual, swimming, fishing, camp fires and relaxing but no kids. To say the least I'm not ready to be an empty nester. Oh well, life goes on and I guess wifey and I will be out fishing for these bad boys!! A week of fish, fish, fish......will have lots of reports! (Hopefully lol)
  14. Trump is a lunatic and anyone who votes for him should seriously step back and look at this clown and the damage he could do globally if elected. Would anyone seriously trust this bozo with nuclear arms?
  15. We drove from Ottawa to Red wing lodge near Morson and fished Sabaskong bay for muskies a few years ago. The 24 hr drive was not as bad as one would think with all the scenery and a couple good buddies. There are tonnes of lodges, campgrounds etc... The lake itself exceeded my expectations by a mile. It was absolutely amazing. You won't regret it You can read up on our visit in my blog http://muskymattottawariver.blogspot.ca/
  16. Other than the Northern Ontario Kim Mitchell type concerts the first real concert I saw was Bob Seger at Opening weekend of Canada's Wonderland,,,,,,way back lol It was outdoors and awesome. Favorite concert was RUSH at Ottawa Blues Fest about 5 years ago. Man they friggin rocked the place and played all the favorites. Dixie Chicks were also awesome. Really wish I would have been able to see Zepplin
  17. Doesn't show the scenario of two cops on a guy on the ground getting shot 5 times! Or a guy sitting in his car with a 4 year old in the back seat getting murdered for a broken tail light!
  18. Sun dried tomato Turkey cheese burgers! This are amazing! We have had them many times and they get better every time! A must try IMO https://books.google.ca/books?id=uoYdAwAAQBAJ&pg=PT493&lpg=PT493&dq=Weber+Sun-dried+Tomato+Turkey+Cheeseburgers&source=bl&ots=-YT6AkfvUf&sig=Jjy9RAffNusTeAyIMA72yNco6B4&hl=en&sa=X#v=onepage&q=Weber%20Sun-dried%20Tomato%20Turkey%20Cheeseburgers&f=false
  19. Man I love that lake. Big fish/Big water. We left Ottawa early this morning for a short day on the water because of the expected heat. And it didn't take long to get hot, thankfully there was a nice wind to keep it bearable. Ian and I launched out of Murphys point and started jigging on one of my favorite spots but the fish just didn't seem to be interested. So, we moved to spot B. Wasn't long before Ian had this nice 6lb Laker on and man did it give up an awesome fight on his light tackle. I'm guessing but it was at least 5 -7 minutes of dogging and runs. He was pumped. We started to jig some more but it wasn't long before I suggested a switch to downrigging. Not 20 min later this pig slammed a 3.5" Mooselook spoon. Not quite the fight of Ians but when it came into view there was some wooohooo's all around. 10 lb 11 oz piggie. Then it got hot, stupidly hot, and we left! Happy but we left.
  20. Spoken like a true laffs fan lol..... Crosby put that team on his back and carried them to the cup. Kessel will need one more year of being rid of the dreaded blue and white disease before you can consider him for that!
  21. http://ici.exploratv.ca/blog-explorateur/le-monde/carpe-asiatique-saint-laurent Beginning of the end for the Larry? This is bad news
  22. Ummmmm.........Because they are "leafs fans?"....
  23. I agree 100%, I was just saying that to a buddy.
  24. Have to say I'm a bit surprised that no laff fans have commented on Kessel going to the big show. I guess it's a tough pill to swallow. I also have to imagine he gets on his knees several times a day and says thanks for getting traded out of laff land lol
