I corrected that for you!
-
Simply fantastic!!
-
So much for the rebuild eh? LOL Start spending laffs and trade away your drafts and prospects!
-
Now that Kessel has shed the blue and white disease, he can resurrect his career! 50 goals at least, but I still can't stand the whining fat little ex laff!
-
Actually we did make the playoffs.
-
Of course it is!

Ummm..did you not see what the Sens pulled off last season??? Oh wait, you were watching an epic collapse that the laffs had. Sens had the biggest comeback ever in the history of the NHL and the laffs had the biggest collapse ever in the history of the NHL lmao. The Sens will pick up where they left off and with new additions are looking even better. What did the laffs do? Lost their top scorer(who hated being there anyways) and a mass exodus of their top players(if you can call them that). Oh wait, the laffs have the best management in the league now... you'll win the cup for sure with that!
-
Well the laffs have got their 2 wins of the year, all in one night and preseason at that! Now back to sucking they wil go lol Seriously though, preseason hky with split squad. Doesn't mean anything.
-
Actually, by laffs logic, with Alfie (PRAISE ALFIE) back with the team in management, we should win the cup for years to come lol
-
In that case they are guaranteed to win the cup for many years to come lol
-
Silly laffs, when will they ever learn??

Example of selective harvest on lake???

I have noticed the weeds in the 10-14 fow range this and last year, they weren't that deep before. I guess the sun is getting down deeper with the clear water. The shoreline is also much thicker with weeds than in the past. Major changes for a smaller lake. -
I have been going to a lake every summer to visit with my wifes brother and family who have a trailer on the lake. There is no public launch but there is a trailer park in which my BIL has a trailer. We have been going for approx 13 years and I have noticed a huge change in the lake. First off the lake has been invaded by zebra mussels, it's ultra clear now and it's not a big lake at about 2km long 1 km wide, but it's a deep lake at 100+ ft. Spring fed with only one creek in and one out. In the beginning largies were abundant and you could target them anytime of day either topwater , spinnerbaits, you name it they ate it. Walleye were hard to hit but when you got on them it was nice big fish and beautiful colors. Now fast forward to about 3 years ago and the bass and walleye bite was dwindling, to an alarming rate and fast. This past weekend we went again and the bass were few and far between, walleye were not seen but you couldn't throw a bait without catching a hammer handle. It was brutal, to see a lake go from productive to only being filled with little pike. I personally have kept about 10 fish over 13 years for breakfast at the lake. I guess bass and walleye were on the menu for anglers but pike not so much. What a shame! So, my theory is the bass and walleye that kept the pike frye in check were depleted and now the pike have open season on all the other young fish. Almost time to have an annual pike derby on the lake I'd say! SAD!

I wonder how many laffs will be chosen

Until it's made law that politicians are subject to incarceration for their action, nothing will change. This government is out of control!

Having Shanny, Babcock and Lamarello is not going to fix anything laffites because the team still sucks and you have a minor league roster at best. I predict the laffs will miss the playoffs again with a dismal 25 win -57 loss season. Do you honestly think putting big names in the office is going to make the team and players better?
-
Leave all flowers and clusters, when you have enough then just cut the top off so it doesn't grow up anymore and keep the suckers off. You'll have very happy tomatoes for it.

I have officially spent more days/time working on the boat than in it fishing lol Looking good and only a couple minor things to do. Going to be nice actually fishing in it. I start my holidays on Saturday and we are heading up to Big Rideau lake again for a blissful week on the island, love that place. So, all the work on the boat will be able to be enjoyed. Looking forward to posting lots of big Laker pics. This year I'm predicting a PB in the 30lb range.

Wishing you the best with your buddy. We too had hoped Copper would make one last trip to the island we cottage at, but it was not to be. We go up on the 26th July to the cottage and we will be having a Copper night where we honor him by spreading some of his ashes. We got his ashes back last night. He loved the cottage and lake. Going to be tough without him!

His plus minus is just a stat. His lack of leadership and don't give a crap attitude combined with the I hate the press is what makes him undesirable. The guy can score no questions asked but that is not the only thing that wins cups. What would Mark Messier have done with a guy like Kessle on his team?

Thanks so much for all the kind words and condolences folks. We are going to pick up his urn tonight. He is greatly missed and we will not forget him for all the love he shared with us. Funny though how the little rituals one has that are so hard when they stop.

Thought of that but water levels are pretty good. Normal as far as I could tell.

My wife and I went for a fish and boat ride on the Ottawa river yesterday near Petrie Island. All was going great until, while trolling, we went between 2 channel markers that mark the entrance into the channel that leads to the marina. These markers are about 15 meters apart and I have gone between them hundreds of times over the last 15 years or so. I was within 10' of one of the markers doing approx 5mph in a muskie troll and BANG, up pops the 9.9 kicker and I can hear the 115 etech grinding on the rocks. Dang! ........I stop and check the engines and all looked ok, just a little prop damage on the kicker. I was left wondering why would there be an obstacle between channel markers? Should I have stayed right in the middle? Where the markers placed incorrectly? I was so pissed! Am I incorrect in assuming clear passage between markers? Never had that happen before.

My boy! Thirteen and lived a great life. Cottage, swimming, biking, fetch, he did it all. Today we put him down. Sad to see someone you love so much deteriorate. Tough day! Hug your pets tonight for me!
