Hi guys Glad you are pleased with your boats. I picked up mine on thursday A new 14 foot SSV Lund that was to be a short shaft transom. The bill of sale and the plate on the back was ssv 15 being the depth of the transom . But the boys at lund really messed up and gave me a 20 inch transom. Now my friend Gerrits motor is sitting a little higher than I really would like. The complaint went in and I will see what lund will do for me.I mentioned that the back was not for a short shaft but the guys just chucked the boat on my trailer and then they were gone.

Good job. Nicely done .Like the casting deck.Did the same to an old 16 crestliner many years back.Had a large live well and when comeing back in rough water myself I used to fill her a bit to keep the nose down for better control. You need it in Lake Huron.Best of luck in your new redone ride.

Boy are these guys and gals true Canadians out in the woods freezing their off.I remember the first camping trip many years ago in a small tent with wife and son. Boy we were cold. Then I remembered on old boy scout trick. wrap a clean warm rock from the fire and toss it into the bag and in a few min. the bag will warm up. Then keep it in the tent till it cools and toss it out.It helped. Now the tent trailer with elect. heat and the elect. blanket. What a way to go. Steve

Not sure but But the drawdown when the beast cuts in kicks the heck out of the battery pack. Not directly into the micro heatin systems but have seen a few in my travels. There is a company in Orangeville that builds stoves out of cement that create a large heat mass that can heat one's house long after the fire goes out.Not sure what they are called but in Europe they are popular. There is also the the stove in the shed where one has a fire in a shed {in the country of course] and the heat is sent to the house underground. We have one up here.

Hi outdoorguy. Was thinking of a small system myself someday but with a small propane tankless boiler. The system you are thinking of the compressor would pretty well drain your system in a matter of moments. I havent heard of a micro system yet but anything is possible. The trench to bury the piping alone or the double well system is expensive. If one has a pond close you can get some heat. I would say if one can find a wood fired boiler with a gravity fed boiler system one might pull it off. I know some of the old houses have this system with the old rads. But one could modernize ones system to sute ones needs. With a gas system the only parts moving are the small motors that push the hot water around.Pretty simple.Good luck on your system. Steve

Hi nancur . The Lake is pretty well encircled by cottages and most acceses are blocked off by rocks and other obsticales. The Lake will be a real rats nest around the boat launch. You need two people in the boat and when you are ready to leave have the other person jump out at the dock and get the trailer otherwise you will wait for a long time before any one will let you out. Been there with a three year old .Was not fun He was tired and cranky and hollering for his mother.I have a small topper for a spare and if you dont mind draging it a few feet I might say go through Flesherton to Rock Mills the first road past the Eugina cutoff turn north and go down to the lake .There is a few large stones in the way but the Ice guys manage huts through in the winter. The gas station at Flesherton sells Bait.

Hi guy glad you are comeing up here on the weekend. The Boat launch is in eugina at the end of Canrobert street. They will nail you about 10 bucks. There is plenty of perch and bass there .The trout will be out in the deep water till the water warms up then the best place is in the rivers.Have to watch for bass as they will be soon nesting and they will bite anything .You don't want to take them off the nests.Have a good time .Steve from flesherton.

Residential Plumbing advice wanted.

Hi guy .I know how frustrating it must be having a full tank and it backing up.We have opened a lot of tanks up here and find lots of fun things in them. But the worst problem is the washing machine soaps that have filler in them. If you find a large white cake around the intake of the tank it will be soap filler. Tide is the worst. I usually tell my frends to switch to liquid soaps and the problems seem to improve. Any how I am too far away to help but I wish you best of luck on your problem. Steve -

I have to be good and clean up the honey do list then the summer is all mine. When one is retired one can go fishing during the week.So most of the summer I will be on the lakes up on the Bruce Pennsula.Great bass up there. I don't set any dates for fishing .I just go when the time seems right.I cannot say any particular lake that I fish because I fished most of them.Have a good summer guys.Best of luck fishing. -

Hi Gerret. Go for it Sold my last two places without an agent. No problem. Need a good realestate lawyer a home inspection and if built in the 70s watch for aluminium wiring. This is the biggie .Had lots of problems with this item. Check for sump pumps that run a lot .Big problem when the hydro goes out. Pond in the basement real fast. There are toys out there that will phone you if the hydro goes out or the water pump fails.Sorry to throw a a few cautions around . Best of luck on your decision. Steve. ps No boat yet but the 9.9 goes on my old tinny this weekend.

Nice job. Like the colour.I have to paint a cottage next week for a client .Yellow. 1970s ecuh. They pay I paint. Don't like the colour but the pay is good. Now put those brushes aside and go fishing. Good luck.
-
Brookies are my favourite.Nothing like fishing a small stream in the evening.Tripping over logs rocks and old farm fences to catch this small tasty fish.Other times I usually head out to terrorize the bass in my old tinny .I spent last summer roofing cottages and I could see them trying to hide under certain docks But they couldn't hide from me.

Nice boat Mike.I ordered my lund after the fishing show at malton.Maybe I will see it by quinte opening Anyway enjoy. Steve -
I know it may sound dumb. But if one want's to go out in the rain .Could one use a cover from a snow blower when one has a console? It would keep the rain off and with a few mod to the frame I don't see why it couldn't work.Just a thought. Steve

Hi Cliff Did you ever consider B and B Give the them a room for the night Breakfast in the morning. And away they go.A few bucks in your pocket and it gives you time to check them out if they are good people if they want to stay an extra night or two. Had renters didn"t like them if you know what I mean. It's only an Idea.Good luck on your decision.
