  1. Most of us call them walleye because that's what they is. This is a pickeral.. This is a Walleye.. And to make matters more confusing, this is what Phil calls a walleye..
  2. Great report Kevin! I have some fuzzy memories from this weekend and you've helped bridge the gap from one sober moment to another! -Brian
  3. You adopted him?
  4. Another great post from you! Congrats on the boat PB!!! -Brian
  5. Or, we could do it this year and print off something with OFC BOQ 2007 I find this typo especially funny because I did the same on the London Swill thread! -Brian
  6. The Curado 200 comes in 5:1 or 7:1 The Curado 300 comes in 6:1, still a faster than avaerage retrieve. As well as larger capacity, it has heavier drag. I think this reel is a great low profile alternative to the Calcutta and other round baitcasters usually intended for stripers, muskie and saltwater jigging. For mostly bass fishing I'd go with the 200 DHSV as you have. I have the same reel and it's light years better than the Citica I upgraded from. -Brian
  7. Well done Joey! Let me know when you guys want to do it again and I'll drag Chris out of the house. He needs a muskie soon or we'll have to remove it from his name and just call him studd!
  8. That is a classic line... adding it to the repertoire! Count me in Shawn! By the way Cliff, what is this about Carole not being able to catch fish out of a boat? I think if Carole doesn't mind we should bungee the trophy to one of my planer boards on Sunday!!!

  10. No response? I think Emil passed out! Just to clarify Emil, any kicker can be steered from the helm. It does not have it's own steering cable or wheel, it is connected to your main motor in one way or another. Some use clamps and a crossbar at the lower rear while others will connect in front near the main motor steering connection and a crossbar to the kicker. Remote throttle/start requires an additional set of cables and controls to the helm. Since Wayne's Pro-Kicker is worth more than my boat ( I would settle for an electric start tiller, quick release steering and a trollmaster remote. http://www.troll-masterpro.com/ -Brian
  11. Wayne, his 2000 has the cutout for the main motor. I don't know what year that changed but I think that may be the difference getting away with a short shaft on a newer model and needing a long shaft on the older one. Those cutouts tend to be about 3-4" usually. -Brian
  12. Well crap, I just wasted a favour! While I'm thinking about it, I managed to find the original box and manuals for the fishfinder. It should be a breeze to install. It was a good one in its day, the price on the box was $489 or something. Don't get your hopes up though, it's nothing to sneaze at by todays standards! It'll do until you have an opportunity to upgrade. -Brian
  13. I think the trouble with Rich's fish is that it has the browns colours and tail but an atlantic jaw
  14. Well done Shawn, that'd make my day!
  15. I'm just setting him up to ask for a big favour... he won't be able to say no... especially in public! Wayne, I gave Maureen a fishfinder. Would you mind bringing it home and she'll pick it up from your place? -Brian Release shot...
  16. Square tails are usually trout, brown in this case. Lakers are an exception to my trout rule, they tend to have a forked tail like salmon. I don't catch a lot of trout but I'd guess it's a brown. -Brian

You're right but any artist that would paint in the satellite dish would need to be slapped! Very cool photo! -Brian
  18. I was skeptical about the photo too... looks like a photoshop job. I mean really, who would allow themselves to caught on film with a habs hat. The fish looks legit. -Brian
  19. Is there any chance we could get this thread pinned?
  20. Hi Jen, it has to be before the end of the year... unless of course you have some serious connections the the MNR and Mother Nature, Cliff will have to wait for 2008. He's still an "Avid Angler" in my book tho! -Brian
  21. In 2006 I vowed to make time for fishing and I had a good year but 2007 has been my best ever. It's been a year of firsts and personal bests for myself and guests. I'm fishing smarter through education. (thanks to OFC and getting out with other members) I've met and fished with so many great people. I ate some fish and didn't hate it - acquiring a taste perhaps? I would also like to thank my wife and kids for being so supportive of my pastime. -Brian
  22. Hey Wayne, check your PM's
  23. Thats a bummer Mike! There seemed to be enough interest for a swill before Christmas AND during the London something, something and fishing show so you won't have to wait another year for a swill... just until February. -Brian
  24. LOL! Good one!
  25. Losing your beer and food should be the least of your worries... I haven't been the same since last year's hazing ritual. Cool!
