Get the ice machine if you want the iceducer. Getting thie iceducer afterwards is almost impossible; Lowrance is months behind on filling orders. The transom ducer works fine but you have a 15' to 20' cable to contend with. Transom ducers are readily available when you want to mount in your boat.

The 2010 Tournament is off to a great start; several lead changes and some pretty impressive fish! We need one more angler for the next round of team selections. It's not too late to get in! http://www.ofncommunity.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=39531

Some tips for the fishing for Tyler event
SlowPoke replied to kickingfrog's topic in General Discussion
And bring home something purdy from the prize table for the Mrs.! -
Good to hear Mike! It doesn't sound like it was a devastating expense and weather sure was on your side. I hope I never have to wake up to drual frozen to my cheek.

Hamilton Fiberglass on Ottawa (I think) They should have almost everything you need for a glass boat resurection, including upholstry.
-
Good to see you back Mike. I wish your Dad all the best in recovery! Someone has to be there to show your son how to fish; you can't leave it all up to Uncle Dan.

You're right but I like to use the bucket as a bailer as well. Milk crates suck for bailing!
-
Tie the end to a bucket, feed the rope into the bucket any way you want and you're done. When you deploy the anchor, tie off the rope to the boat and leave the rest in the bucket. Just be sure to drain the bucket at the end of the day so your ropes don't rot.

Soooo, How did Y'all spend your Family Day Holiday? NF?
SlowPoke replied to Rattletrap2's topic in General Discussion
The 'family' and I spent much of 'family' day moving lumber from the garage to the basement for our new 'family' room. I paid them of course, I'm just glad they're not yet aware of statutory holiday entitlement. -

No pic's from your layover in Atlanta? Nice shots Joe! Yikes, that's more snow than we've had here all season!

We need four more people for another round of team selections.

If you need a warm place, you're welcome to go into work for me!

You're optimistic, I have you down for Aug 18 at Noon in the Rizzo pool.

I do that as well and it can cause more of a mess sometimes. If the tub get tilted or upside down, that juicy goodness doesn't always drain back into the tub and you wear it. I don't know why they didn't do a taller, skinnier tub that would fit in a cupholder. The bait floats, it's not like trying to get the last pickle out of the jar. Those new tubs that look like somebody stepped on; that's hardly an improvement.

I know JP wouldn't endorse it if it was junk... Mercer I'm not so sure of! The seals looked good, nothing like Tupperware. Lids are fairly rigid and the box itself was pretty stout. Moreso than a regular Plano box with twist/flex. My biggest concern would be plastic distortion over time. Even Falcon boxes tend to warp if you put soft baits in them. I think I'll try one. As Archie said, "you've all spent more on crap you lost 5 minutes after buying".

Saw this at Lambeth Tackle today. http://www.berkley-fishing.com/prod.php?k=...357d20f9da7.jpg Its not the perfect solution but a far cry better than those stupid tubs. They're made to fit in the 3700 Plano series bags etc. I'd be leary about storing them upright. Anybody try them?

LOL!!! That's gonna leave a mark!

Thanks Fang, good to know. I was going to set up a 'charging center' in my shop for various items including the sonar battery; I'll just use the charger it came with instead of what I had planned.

I trim the course stuff down with knipex pliers and finish up with the epilady.

Sunoco Gas bar, $2.xx/hr and bought a used Yamaha RD 400 when I was 16 http://www.manualesdemotos.net/catalog/ima...YamahaRD400.jpg Added drop bars, a Rickman fairing, expansion chambers and rear controls. It would eat the early Honda 500 Interceptors and spit 'em out! Ahhh, good times and many tickets.

This is big.... Jean-Sebastien Giguere from the Anaheim Ducks for Jason Blake and Vesa Toskala. Dion Phaneuf, Fredrik Sjostrom and Keith Aulie in exchange for defenseman Ian White, center Matt Stajan, left wing Niklas Hagman and right wing Jamal Mayers. White is playing well and due for a big raise next year. He'll be missed. Blake & Toskale can't get their act together. A sigh of relief. Stajan and Hagman will be missed but their combined salaries could could be spent on a high level forward capable of equaling the combined totals. Jamal who?

I think the koi will stay until I'm able to manage the pond's tendancies. I learned this from keeping an aquarium; don't rush into expensive fish until you have a stable environment. Eventually I'd like to get into spec's and brooks. I say that now but I don't know if it's do-able. That's just what I envision. I'll check out Thorndale in the spring. Thanks for the info and invitation!
