  1. Good to hear from you, Shawn! Don't be a stranger!
  2. She ran over one of your neighbours??? Glad she's okay!
  3. Fortunately, Carole can appreciate the fine art of procrastination; we'll just pretend we didn't miss it but just got around to it today. Happy Birthday to you; Happy Birthday to you. Happy Birthday dear Carole; Happy Birthday to you! (How's that for redundant?) I couldn't resist referencing her FB status about procrastination and redundancy.
  4. You might want to pick up one of these for trailering... Very nice boat indeed! Congrat's to you, Patsy and the 'kids'.
  5. Well said; one of the nicest people you'll ever meet. I roll my eyes at some of his comments but always look forward to seeing him at the GTG's.
  6. My inlaws have been on leased land in Sauble since 1992 and have had a great experience there. With that said, I don't think I would do it.
  7. That never ends well. You grandstand in the store, they call the police and if you're lucky you get to leave with the issue unresolved and a warning. If you're unlucky, you hope the pepper spray wears off before your family comes for Easter weekend. Ahhh, good idea Joe. I'll dig out the CC records and look into it.
  8. We bought some furniture at Bad Boy in December, delivered at 9:30PM Jan 23. The loveseat was damaged and I noted it on the bill. I called the store the next day to get the ball rolling on exchange. Long story short, after a month of phone calls we finally had someone come to look at it. He took a picture and said he couldn't do anything about it and would try to get a new arm from the factory. Here we are over two months after delivery and I can't even get them to return calls. Everyone is passing the buck... you have to call this person... leave message.. no return calls. On and on. Does anyone have an inside scoop or know someone that can make this right?
  9. First question should be budget. Brax and W7's? -or- Audiobahn and Lanzer's? Next question should be music preference. You stated you want to "add a little bass". A ported sub will give you a whole lot of bass; good for hip-hop, trance etc. A sealed box is; smaller, much more refined and can pound when you want it to dependent on power and driver size. Lastly, what components do you currently have in your system? (stock/upgraded/mix of both) If you have a factory system; you can punch it up with an amp and sub. If you have at least one set of outputs from the headunit, you can add an EQ which will divide the signal into front/rear and sub outputs. This will also give you subwoofer gain control, tailor your sound with 5-11 adjustable bands and offer you an auxillery input and volume control for satellite radio or MP3 player. If you really are after 'a little more bass' keep an eye out for a used MTX Blue Thunder Pro752 and match it with a NEW quality 10" sub. Never buy used subs unless you're playing around in the compitition class range. These are old school bullet proof amps and vastly underrated for power output. Birthsheets usually test twice the advertised power rating. They usually run about $70-$100 on eBay. I would put it up against ANY new amp with twice the "rated output". The amp is roughly the size of a Plano 3600 tackle tray and will pound a 4ohm 10" sealed sub all day long. I use 2 of them to drive 2 12" Infinity Perfect subs. It's enough thump to seperate the adhesive between the body panel and piller on the wife's van. Oooops. If you have a few bucks to throw around, I'd highly recommend JL Audio amps and subs. The Slash v2 series amp is incredible and accurate. W6 and W7 subs will rock your world.
  10. Actually, the correct answer is... As tight as Joey can get it while you enjoy a cool beverage on the side of the road.
  11. I think "75-80" refers to aluminium studs, not grade 8 studs to aluminium wheels.
  12. 135-145 according to Tire Rack http://www.tirerack.com/wheels/tech/techpage.jsp?techid=107
  13. Geek.
  14. Extremly easy to setup. When they first came out, you had to tie a drop line off a three-way swivel and it evolved to using the OR clip. This opened the door for so many practical uses. One hot ticket is to clip on behind 3-4 colours of lead and sink to your desired depth. This gives you the leadcore action without having to reel in 5-10 colours of lead and more predictable depths. I've yet to try the directional torpedo's but I suspect they will be just as easy to use.
  15. It's all ready too windy out there; the last thing we need out there is giant fans.
  16. Well, hmph, it's about time. Nice to see you back Carole!
  17. You got it Roy; we're looking for muted tones. We're on the right track here. We debated this print but passed on it because of the perspective. The perspective in this image offers you the boats as the subject; we're looking for something less dominating, allowing your eye to find it's own subject. Very nice Dan. Not what we had in mind but worth consideration. An image like this is intriguing because it could offer a different feel depending on your mood. Inviting? Solice? Haunting? Tranquil? Desolate? I'll be showing the Mrs. Thanks for the other suggestions folks!
  18. We have a spot over the fireplace and we know what we want but can't find it. A worms eye view off a weathered dock. A rustic rowboat moored to the left of the dock with paint chipping, frayed mooring lines. Detailed but not the focal point. Maybe overhanging trees to the right of the dock. Morning mist on the water with a hint purplely/golden sunrise. Horizon/scenery obscured by mist but not blocked out; subtle. Any ideas?
  19. Who is "Donuts"?
  20. Since you're up on geo/ecological issues, do you mind explaining how aerosol cans are destroying the earth's calzone?
  21. As the ad states, "newer floor put it" sounds like a few years ago. The transom is probably wet. Transom is a major job on that boat. Your friend should pay close attention to that. If it's just wet and not rotton, it's worth the $3500. If it's rotton, it's worth the price of a used 90 Yamaha minus what it will cost to dispose of the boat.
  22. LMAO!!! If the transom 'breaks off entirely' before the tape peels off, I think Albert would thank me for that suggestion and rid himself of theat boat. Never underestimate the power of rice
  23. I'm with Hirk.. leave 'em. But.... a whacky thought came to mind if you feel like messing with it. Tape over the hole on the outside of the transom. On the inside, tape over 3/4 of the hole and fill the cavity with rice. Rice will draw moisture out of the transom!
  24. I'd fight it in. Pick up as much line as possible and then really lean into it. If it breaks, it breaks but at least it isn't going to be swimming around with 110yrds of dental floss. If you're in a boat, chase it down.
  25. Nice ride G! That 621 is to walleye boats as AMG is to Mercedes touring cars. Nice choice on the Yamamonster too! It won't be hard to spot you on the water with a big grin from ear to ear.
