  3. Lol Brian does that mean I can trade my boat in for a bike? Oh yeah nice scooter
  4. That's awesome now to train him to go to the store and get them
  5. Nice going if your having trouble with the splake try using a crank bait deep running like a reef runner chrome/blue worked a lot for us when dad and I would fish them years ago
  6. Nice start MW I must say I am shocked that there are not a lot more reports in yet not for here but in general. Hope to see everyone getting started in the next few weeks.
  7. Get the proper net before a cradle get some good bolt cutters jaw spreaders long nose pliers. Then go to the $ store and get some coiled phone cord and attach it to your release tools this way you will nor loose them.
  8. When I would go out I would use corn first I would toss a buch out to the area I was fishing to attract them. You can also poke holes in a can attach a rope to it and toss it to the area to keep tge scent there. I made my own blowback rigs and would attach a couple float beads to it so that when the carp sucks the corn in and blows it out before eating it the hook gets stuck good in there lip. Some will say you need to soak the corn in strawberry koolaid but just regular canned corn works good. Cast your line out sit back and enjoy the day
  9. Wolf beat me to it as the down east rod holders are on sale through Phil st etackle.ca he also has some great deals on musky tackle
  10. Great to see that you two had another fine couple days on the water Paul.
  11. Nice going MW it's nice to see some slime.
  12. I was worried about buying mine as the past owner was unable to get slime in it I was warned by other members of this but took the plunge and put that old excuse to rest with slime right away.
  13. Dang Peter it felt like I was reading a obituary. I know my boat came from a pair of great OFC members it has been a amazing boat for my family. I urge anyone looking for a boat if this one fits grab it up as OFC private deals are the best.
  14. Lol Brian that would be great LMK when it's on.
  15. I guess by now you know they are open they are closed on Sundays
  16. Well my daughter and I missed the opener today so I was sitting here building some baits and got the idea to run a contest for 4 different Handlebarz lures I just built these today just for this contest. Its open to all OFC members who are looking for musky you dont need to catch a musky or the biggest one just get out and have fun then share it here. Simple rules post a photo of either your in season musky from this year caught on or after June 2nd or June 16th You don't have to be out on opener day just caught in season 2012. or post a photo of your day on the water looking for musky I just want to see what everyone was doing for opener. It could be someone casting a kid holing a huge musky lure a rod in a rod holder trolling just what ever your opener day was. The closing date will Be June 19th this gives the musky nuts in the north a chance to enter also. I will put down all the names of the members who respond here with there days adventure and have my daughter pull a name that lucky musky nut will get all 4 baits my banner will stay here with me. There will be one of each size bait I make double 10 copper walleye and 8 Armageddon inline flashabou and a large Egg head electric black with musky red/black blade that has a single size 10 magnum blade as well as the new out for this year my small egg head Yellow Jacket which has a size 8 Colorado its built with the same strength as all my baits but perfect for casting with you pike gear. Good luck I'm looking forward to the reports.
  17. I guess I'm just pissy today with missing musky opener and not just to tge weather
  18. They have the mounts there it just ticks me that they can not order the package I want but do offer me the mounts there for around $20 each so I can buy the gipro they carry for the same price as Motorsport but then pay $40 on top for the correct mount then have two I don't need.
  19. I'm with you Roy I would love to get the one Brandon uses but when I priced it out my brain erased the name from my head. I want to get the motorsport one that comes with handlebar mount but can only find it online.
  20. One of my favorite prop was fish was myistjr's 46" he got down here with his dad and myself. I was just explaining to him the wash rod and also that I was not sure why I head to the area we were headed I just finished by saying something like 90% of the time I don't get a fish here but I know they are here and with that the fight was on. My wife's first musky on the line was a wash fish with maybe 20' of line out she hit a huge musky she was holding the rod as we did not have 3 rod holders and she let Wendal and I have them. There are a lot of musky that live On the edge and need extreme food kinda like humans some eat HOT crap even though they know it's honna hurt.
  21. Nice looking ride can't wait for tge reports. Enjoy it.
  22. Sounds great don't forget to post some pics when you get it wet
