  1. im lovin those matzuous or however you spell them. the wallys also love them
  2. i would tip them if you had a good time and caught some decent fish. salmon charters are expensive as it is and i bet the gas prices are gona make things any better.
  3. me and the cuz headed out for some dry fly browns the water was nice and cold, some rainbows were hanging around on some redds!!! not to unusual with this year. but the main problem was the black flies BLACK FLIES IN SOUTHERN ONTARIO!! last year i saw like 5 this year they drove us out of the creek. my cousin was arguing with himself about why is this fun lol. we bailed out after a couple of 6 inch rainbows. gona get a bug net or 2 and head out this week with a good picture filled report if possible because that was madness. my knuckles were coverd in mosquito bites and blood. the bugs are freakin horrific this year!!
  4. whenever im in doubt i get a blue or bluish colour. all fish like blue
  5. 4-5 lbs your holding it out far and your elbow is extended good ol camera trick
  6. nice they are still hiding out in lots of places if you know where to look just takes alot of walking to find them!
  7. hello i was just lookin at the calendar and noticed musky action coming up and i wanted to try topwater for them this year. i have caught lots underwater but not many topwater the odd one while fishing for bass with a walk the dog style lure. with a nice paycheck comin up this friday i was gona purchas some big dirty lures but i dont really know where to start and they are expensive !! anyways any baits to try would be awsome good luck out on the wata!
  8. you should just claim that black baits work amazing so i can go fishing and everybody will get skunked but me LOL
  9. light as crap line try 4lb or lower. if the grasshoppers are out i would use those. trout love grasshoppers i have not been to a creek in a bit!!! im gona do some dry flying for some brownies this thursday ill post the results!!
  10. nice fish and nice wife lol. did my theories work?
  11. ive heard that braids arnt the best for whities they got odd mouths that tear easily unless your using a meegs type dealy
  12. dont you hate that crap with suckers???? i was fishing a stretch of the ganny thats all browns and specks. my float goes down and i set it and bam i was actually shaking and my heart jumped at the weight of the fish. when i was fighting it i was like why does this fish suck? then i saw the lack of spots and got ticked what sucker hammers 3 big dew worms. and it was like 5-6 lbs. (its been a few years since of nailed a wicked nice 4lb+ resident brownie) oh well maybe this weekend. nice speckabrookie tho too bad you had to keep it but oh well thats fishin
  13. try slow shallow loggy areas the wallys should be around their getting some tans. but you risk smallies in these areas. if the water is colder then always fish slower and slower water. wallys will hang out in very small pockets in a river they can just angle their fins and not move their tails thats where they are you just gota fin those spots!
  14. i would go with sensation for that or magnathin. i love magnathin anything thats thin lol. oh yea that spider wire super mono isnt bad either
  15. MMMMMMMMMMM i freakin forgot about morels this time of year!!!!!
  16. take the reel apart very slowly and place the parts in the order you took them out even take pictures (ive had some missing parts) then clean all of them and grease it with some lithium grease its a little heavy but after a few casts it will be like buttering bread. oh yea KEEP YOUR REEL OUT OF SAND AND DIRT FOR THE LOVE OF GOD! peace
  17. i read something that braid has little stretch which means if you cast it hard and crazy like and you hit a knot or something it can snap it super easy because of the line shock or something
  18. check out the thread i just started theirs lots of info ive found very usefull with my braid experiences!! http://www.ofncommunity.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=19644
  19. i rarely fish for pike i just catch them when im casting my nice new rapala for walleye and the pike steal it lol. then i shake my fist at the water and tie on another 10 bucks...
  20. yea i forgot about the backing part since its 1lb dia. and my reel is only half full ill have to get the line counter out and spool up some backing. im going to use a 8lb floro leader for all my fishing (im a nut about line visibility) Another thing i would like to know can pike and musky cut braid easily? i tried biting off a peice and it took a good amount of chomping!!
  21. i picked up some spider wire teflon coated stuff the 6lb and spooled that on. one thing i noticed is tying a knot its annoing and i had to improvise some crazy knot that i dont trust to much lol. so i was wondering about what knot is best for braid. also it makes a weird sound when pulling through the eyes of my rod will it burn or groove my rod? anyways anything that can go bad would be good to know. peace
  22. dam stupid jack russel ate the thing along with some priceless hackles!!!!!!!! never trust a jack russel NEVER lol
  23. im heading up north and i was wondering how i can catch some herring in the open water? anything i should look for and what is a good bait flys? maybe some little jigs or spinners? thanks for any info
  24. NICE cant wait till this weekend gona hammer some northern wallys and lots o specks !!!!
  25. i fished it once in the summer. we trolled some good size fat rap style baits and picked up a few wallys. then we would jig or slip float the area with minnows depends on the waves. always fish a rock shelf on the opposite side of the sun to find your wallys. lots of pike anything big and flashy will get em.
