  1. Was there yesterday, drove from London as I do every year for the past 30+, still a great way to spend the day with the kids despite the cost. If you buy tickets in advance they are only $16 and no waiting in line (they have this deal every year online) , subway or GO train saves on parking and gas, I believe there is FREE parking still at Ontario Place(they have in the past), just an extra minute or 2 walk. The GREAT deals went away 20+ years ago so I'm not sure what everyone is complaining about unless they haven't been in 20 years or so As far as deals go look for the no tax places, 13% off everthing! I'll be back with the kids again next year
  2. Be careful out there.... Eels Lake Sunday
  3. I just replaced my 7 season old Crown Batteries this year, and if they had a local (London area) retailer I would have gotten another set.(i'll probably be kicking myself in 3 or 4 years) Sail now sells them in their stores, or you can go to their retail store on Trowers (ave?) in Woodbridge just south of hwy 7 west of weston rd.
  4. .98.6 yesterday on the Delaware 1st nation reserve west of London @ GD's It was as low as 1.09 in London earlier in the week so that means it would have been around 5cents cheaper in St Thomas, they are always less money, except for the 2 stations on Wellington rd south.
  5. Wildwood is at record lows right now, there are actually islands in the middle where the used to be 15' of water (not actually islands but shoals not connected to the shoreline) the dam construction is done, hopefully the water returns soon but unless there's a load of snow........
  6. a few lakes north of Kingston seem to have them, I've seen a few up that way as well.
  7. One rod per licensed angler in a boat in a small inland lake or from shore

  9. some people just seem lonley and need to talk, or have others do the work for them. Regs are available at every Canadian Tire/Wal-mart and tackle store I've ever been in. jjcanoe
  10. E-Mail here is the contact info for the park, might have been just as easy for you to send them an e-mail as it was to post here. jjcanoe
  11. Thanks for the Great info guys! Almost everywhere I read had a mention of walleye in the lake but you never know until you ask. Not really a walleye fisherman anyways, good to hear that the park is a decent place as well. Maybe we'll get one of the waterfront sites in the future (if one becomes available) Hoping to get into some decent sized bass this summer up there, and maybe the odd lakeras well.. jjcanoe
  12. oops my bad! Perch and walleye, not pike, at least according to my Backroads fishing guide. jjcanoe
  13. Thanks bucktail, that would be most appreciated. It's always good to hear there are still decent Lakers around!
  14. My parents have bought a trailer and plopped it at The Homestead Park on Eels Lake North of Peterborough off Hwy 28. Just wondering if anyone has been to the park before and if so whats it like (etc) More importantly whats the fishing like in the lake. I've got a depth map, and know it has Lm and Sm bass Lakers, Pike and walleye, just looking for some general bassin areas since I'll be up there for the opener in June, feel free to reply and or PM me if you don't feel comfortable talking about it on the open forum Thanks jjcanoe
  15. There are motors allowed in 2nd Depot lake but it's not a busy lake at all, 3rd is even quieter Booth, Crotch lake area has a lot of bass, pike and some walleye in the area, however my fishing reports for the area will be about 15 years old....
  16. Depot Lakes CA. give Depot Lakes Conservation area a try, nice quite lakes took my son there for his 1st overnight canoe camping trip when he was 4, set up a base camp on 2nd Depot Lake and then you can do a quick portage to the other lakes as a day trip. It's only about 2 hours drive from Bowmanville jjcanoe
