I'm thinking of heading up to Big Bay Point this weekend, and after looking at google maps, there seems to be a dead end where Gooch Park Drive and Lakeview Road converge. Is that where everyone parks, or is there somewhere else I'd have to go? Thanks in advance.

I absolutely love his show. I think he's a great host.

It's far more obvious with some fish. For example, 99% of the larger, fat perch you catch this time of the year and into the spring are females, and male salmon and rainbow both typically get very dark and develop kypes when spawning. Some species like bass it's very difficult to tell.

The majority of the perch I've got out of Simcoe have been in 30-40 FOW.

How much water were you in? I think I might head to Virginia Beach instead of Jackson's Point, since it's a bit shorter drive.

I'm mad about not getting ice fishing enough this season, but open water means fishing closer to home, which of course means more time spent on the water, so agreed.
