  1. dang, thats really not what I was hoping to hear. Better go get the hammer...
  2. Am I the only one that gets some load of crap sites everytime I click on a google link right now? Im trying to do homework and copying and pasting links is wasting my time. Is it google or just my piece of junk that could be called a computer?
  3. Ive also got a soft spot for a band called slackstring. Flowy, almost acoustic type stuff. Pretty cool.
  4. Thats nothing, I catch those all the time. Throw them back because they're not big enough for my white bucket.
  5. Thats one of my dream trips for fishing. Somewhere in the tropics searching for cudas. Others for me include west coast for salmon (achieved 2 years a go), west coast winter steelhead (yet to be achieved), florida for bass (achieved), sailfish (big goal) , east coast for atlantics and big brookies (possible next year and my buddys family just bought a house out there) All in all, id say not bad for a 17 year old! Nice lookin 'cuda you got there, still got all fingers and toes?
  6. neither. I fish blind, and probably always will. To me it seems like being able to see the fish is just unfair. I like the challenge of trying different patterns untill you locate the fish. Try it one time, turn off the fishfinder on a lake you dont fish alot and try to catch something, if youre used to always having the electronics you might find it more difficult than you expect.
  7. Metal/Prog metal Protest the Hero The Human Abstract/ Dead and Divine (fans of prog metal/hardcore/heavymetal check these guys out. Both bands will blow your mind with amazing musical talent. I had a chance to talk to the guitarist from The Human Abstract and hes only been playing for 4 years. Unbelieveable!) URL: http://www.myspace.com/deaddivine http://www.myspace.com/thehumanabstract Check out Crossing the Rubicon by THA. WOW.
  8. Id tell you what I think of billy talent, but if you're going it would probably depress the hell out of you. of course, im a pretty big metalhead and i find it hard to see past the gnar and into the mainstream side of music.
  9. Im against photoshop in most cases, (read post in locked thread) but in some cases (I.E snag) it is a very good idea to photoshop the pictures. Something recognisable like the CN tower in the background could definatly add pressure to a spot. Now where I fish, unless you recognise that rock in the river or the pine tree over my shoulder, you would never find the place. And if you did, it would be because YOU HAD ALREADY FISHED THERE. kemper
  10. ask CC, it seems that if there is a chromie to be caught, well its probably on the end of his line! most steelheaders go home when the river freezes, CC just knocks a hole in the ice and keeps fishin.
  11. Heres my opinion on photoshopping the steelhead pictures... If the picture has some really recognisable landmark in the background (ie roadsign, bridge with name etc) then sure, photoshop it out. BUT if the picture is just that, a picture of a river, with a person with a fish, lets be serious, it looks the same as ANY other river in S. Ontario. "but people will recognise the spot and go fish there" Now lets think about this, if someone recognises a spot well enough that they can pinpoint it from a picture of the creek with some trees in the background (because we dont have many of those in ontario ) than chances are they have already fished it many times and will have their own opinion of how the spot produces. In my opinion it is MUCH worse to post the name of the river than a picture of the place. I could take 100 pictures of the river right near my house and there would only be a handful of people that could name it, and they would be people THAT ALREADY FISH IT. Lets be serious, you cannot recognise a place that you have never seen. If I had all my trib pics from the old site i would post some examples, but it seems they are gone into cyberspace forever. well, thats my flu/antibiotic/advil induced rant for the day. Time to wobble my way back to the couch.
  12. frozen is an understatement. hockey anyone?
  13. Your not kidding Lew! As a brand new driver (were talking having the G2 for 2 weeks here) I was out in the snow and crap the other day and would like to say that 99 percent of the drivers on the road right now need to go straight back to driving school and do the 35 hours that I just did. Ubelievable some of the things that I never noticed untill I did the driving school, and how they can be really dangerous. Seems strange to me that a 17 year old kid can keep a car on the road when these so called "experianced" drivers are in the ditch.
  14. and here I was packing up my stuff and heading to scugog...
  15. Awesome CC. Fishin close to the lake eh? Ive never fished trout with those bullrushes around?
  16. Im amazed that so many people are happy about it being minus 30. You'll find me in the spring.
  17. Ive got a samsung, its with rogers. I cant remember the mocel name but its all black with silver accents. Works beauty everywhere, even when otehr cell phones dont.
  18. My basement is the warmest room in my house. go figure.
  19. eating minnows... How about this, catch the minnows, put them on a hook, catch a pickeral and eat that!
  20. A good friend of mine that lives no more than 3 minutes away had his home broken into while he was on vacation last week. Luckily a nieghbour was up and the cops were in the house 3 minutes after the robbers. I really hope they got a beating.
  21. White gums, its a coho. I have seen fish with big dark areas around wounds kinds like that one before, so Im gonna go with the others and say its an infection of sorts...a really organised infection, with straight lines? lol. Edit- post 900. yikes
  22. My trusty 5 combos sleep in a rod rack above my bed all winter. Well, trusty 4 I geuss, as the fenwick is still in use for steelheading.
