  1. They need to improve their math, no way they are saving 3-5l's per 100kms. If they were, those 'chips' would be installed in every single dealership before those trucks ever left the lot! I know all about modding vehicles (especially diesels).. You do get some mpg improvement, but we are talking 1-2% at most..
  2. Brian, you ever go over to the Burger King on Sat evenings? I'm hoping one day I see Wayne there with the 'bird!
  3. I usually look up the OFSC trail maps online. But once the season is over, they take the maps down.
  4. Thanks Dan! Didn't even bring my DSLR, only had my SD1400 with me I had to chase that fish down two sets of pools, I thought for sure I was going to lose it.
  5. Be prepared to spend as much on glass (or more) then you did the body.
  6. Decided to pack the gear into the car before work yesterday and stop at one of my fav places on the way home. Weather was awesome, no bugs in sight (sans those hatching) and only a tad bit of wind. I have been told by a good friend that if you wanna catch big fish, you gotta use big bait. The upside of this is that usually if there is a monster hanging around, he'll make the effort to smash that 5inch streamer. Downside is that you won't get any of those 10-12inch piddlers that usually is a nice break in the action. I didn't hit the river at a very good time (4pm) but I thought I'd make the most of it. One thing I've learned is that big browns don't occupy the same space as big stealhead, so you gotta learn how to read the water differently. The places I've caught nice browns, I would have never fished if I was going after steelhead. There is definitely a learning curve, even more so on pressured fish like these. It was nice to put all those tactics together and have it pay off. Not a monster by any means, but a nice fish for this system..
  7. Stanley Cup hasn't been decided in OT since '54. I could go for some of that tonight.
  8. Don't forget the bell and the trail tape, lol!!
  9. I'd save your money to be honest. All you're going to get is some extra noise, unless that's worth it to you.
  10. The thing about buying privately is that you can get a receipt for a ridiculously low price and pay tax on that, or the book value (which ever is more) Most private sellers have zero issue with this.. So you'll definitely save on the tax regardless.
  11. Dave, I love the matching avatar and sig, lol!!!!!
  12. Don't mention a trade until you have got your rock bottom price of the car you want. Also don't mention how you are going to pay for it (ie outright or financed) until you've got your rock bottom price. Don't be afraid to walk if you don't get the deal you want.
  13. I'd pull him after letting those two floaters in! You gotta stop those.
  14. For that price you are almost in brand new Rebel XS territory. Warranty is an important thing to have with these things
  15. Man those river fish are like footballs! Good job!
  16. Sweet! Although the muskie stick is only 8ft
  17. I'm 6'3 and the only way the rod tip would touch the water was if I was holding it near vertical.. It's usually out around 8 oclock if I'm using topwaters or slashbaits.
  18. Good job Joey!! Lake O is starting to heat up!
  19. Be prepared to spend more on glass then you did on the body..
  20. Thanks for the tips Brandon! I gotta learn how to take pics of the Northern Lights for a trip I have planned next August Lighting sounds like good practice, lol.
  21. Unless you are a midget, your 7ft rod should not be touching the water from the bow of any boat, lol.
  22. Nice clean looking fish!
  23. X-Rap, Zara Spook Jr, pumpkinseed tube jig, senko's...
  24. I'd bring my St.Croix Avid M XF 7ft 1pc casting rod with my Calais 200 loaded with 20lb Suffix 832 and a 6'6 ML Clarus with a 1500 Series Sahara loaded with 6lb Fireline Crystal.
  25. What's the action like? That's where your 'sensitivity' is...
