  1. Pretty much, there is ALWAYS a giant gaping hole at the end of that boat ramp because some idiot decided to drive out instead of testing the ice first. This goes for snowmachines, trucks, whatever.
  2. I'd buy an extended Ford warranty, but not a 3rd party...
  3. I usually find the bigger ones are the aggressors.. As soon as I drill a hole, it's usually the big ones I'll ice first, then a steady stream of smaller ones. I just move at this point and repeat the process.
  4. Smart move Dave. Enjoy the snow!
  5. Think of this as a learning experience
  6. You are confusing Unix and Linux... Both based upon System V, but completely different when it comes to licensing.
  7. Never fished the RV9.. GLX feels like it goes completely parabolic when you get into a fish, like you can feel it into the handle.. Really mushy.. It's just an odd rod (I fished a factory with the recoils) I like soft rods like the IMX which is nice and slow up top then gradually grows some balls in the bottom end.. Very similar to my Loomis IM6..
  8. Absolutely, have you ever fished a GLX? I'd take a IMX over it any day.
  9. Unix isn't open source SunOS, HPUX, BSD aren't given away for free...
  10. That's a fun walk
  11. For being a leader, it sure took Apple a long time to figure out 'cut and paste'
  12. If I am lucky enough to hook into a Cobia with my gear I'll be spooled (I've been spooled down there a few times by some Kings)... I'm all about whitings, ladyfish, pomps, spanish, sea trout, nothing giant
  13. Most likely the caliper... Or you could sell those rims and buy ones with proper offsets.. Should be able to pick up a set of proper steelies for $200 or so.
  14. Sweet Cobia!!!! I'm hoping to get down there in Feb/March for a few days.. Love shore fishing the Gulf side, such a good time.
  15. Yup, like Raf said get some spacers for the rear to push those rims out a bit.. Do you know the offset of the steelies? Compare that with the offset of your stock rims and that should tell you the size of the spacer you need...
  16. I'm really thinking of a 24v for the new boat (It's got a 12v 65lb PowerDrive on it now) but I got a kicker to buy this year as well. I've got an extra space in the battery compartment for battery #2, so I might just run another one in parallel to get some extra run time...
  17. TonyB is a superstar! Nice job boys!
  18. Mike, I think you caught your first 'steelhead' (Sounds better then rainbow, lol!!!)
  19. I still don't see your point, who's complaining about the snow? I'm excited to get my Ariens out of the garage! lol
  20. How's snowmobiling work without snow?
  21. Front door taken 5 mins ago... I don't think it's going to let up anytime soon.
  22. Big thing is to try and keep your batteries warm.. If they get cold, they'll die in no time.
  23. Yeah, it isn't like steelheading over here. Personally I'd spend my money elsewhere.
  24. Pretty much a blizzard outside right now... No complaints from me!
  25. Thanks man, let's make sure we fish together in 2012 You aren't that far away! I'm always up for some back country bassin'!
