  1. I guess it depends on where you are on BP. Had a good 3 inches of black ice a week or so ago.. I'm sure after the rain and the freeze there is a bit more. Although this weeks weather doesn't look very good for ice making.
  2. I don't think he lives in BC, I think 'bc' meant 'because' I still wouldn't pay an extra $60 for a KingPin over a Streamside.
  3. It's only 6 weeks Wayne If they were kept open, I'm sure the number of fatalities would climb through the roof! We give people way too much credit
  4. Sounds like a bug jacket would be the easy choice.
  5. I think you might be confusing the fog light with tail lights... Most of the euro cars which have rear fogs installed will only have them installed on one side. Leads people to think the rear tail lights aren't working
  6. It's like they are the only ones that know about the new cup sizes.
  7. Sounds about right. A buddy of mine said the same thing.. Caught 300 or so kept 8, lol.
  8. I don't think we'll even be out on the main lake this year.. If so, it's going to be dicey. I think I'll just wait to slam them in the boat come spring.
  9. From what I've heard the best bang for the buck rods out there are the Streamside and Raven RV9.
  10. Why not go with something like a Clam that's an all-in-one?
  11. Aren't they just Streamsides?
  12. I don't think I've ever seen a permanent hut off BP... And that trail is the only one I know of... Goodluck!
  13. Nothing but ice for me this weekend!
  14. Find the xmas trees people drop in the water before the lake freezes over and you'll have all the perch you want! LOL
  15. I haven't had any rust issues at all. I do flip my boots over after a day of fishing and let them dry in the garage.. Nothing special.
  16. Only thing they'll do is wear out faster. I run the 1/2in sheet metal screws in my Simms G4 Guide boots and they work perfectly.
  17. Frankie, the 1/2in is what you want!
  18. Lake Simcoe as a few. I pulled one out of 115ft of water the other day.
  19. Had the same issue with my gas stove last year, replaced ignitor problem solved.
  20. Luckily there are lots of dolphins.
  21. There will be lots and lots of dinks inbetween any decent fish. Pretty much the way it's been out on Simcoe this year. At least you'll have steady action!
  22. I use a 36lb Thrust Minn Kota Endura on my 'toon. Does the job well enough.
  23. I've been under a few times in my waders, it's not like water just pours in there like everyone would think. I swam a good 5-6 seconds with my waders completely underwater and I took maybe 4-5 cups of water out of them at the car.. I was soaked, but far from filling up with water and pulling me downstream to my death, lol.
