I've got a old Heddon Mouse that I catch everything on (Bass, pike, etc).. One of my fav baits to use on those calm summer evenings. Casts a mile as well.
You don't need much of a platform to mount a bowmount. Also, the only thing that would be left is the mounting plate. As easily removed as the transom mount.
If you are going to fish topwater this weekend, do it bright and early or as the sun goes down in the evening.. I'll be out on Gloucestor/Little on Monday messing around.
