  1. Nice Dave! Gotta love goodies for the boat
  2. Get in touch with Graham Bristow, upper Geen for browns.. You'll have a good time.
  3. You must be seeing something the rest of us don't. No different then giving us a fly in report and telling us what outfitter you went with.
  4. VMC spinshot hooks worked great for me last year. No complaints.
  5. Probably nothing... CO can't prove you caught those fish in Ontario waters.
  6. +1 on screen brightness. That's what will kill the battery...
  7. I run dipsy setups off plastic Scotty holders. If a hot 30lb king can't rip them off, nothing will.
  8. Pliers, scissors, knife, whatever is in the boat.
  9. Yeah, not surprised Lakemaster will be coming out with chips for us, lots of pissed off Canadian customers that can't use that feature, lol. It's too bad they can't/won't make 'follow the contour' work with the Navionic chips.
  10. No dock I bet as well eh Dan? LOL!!!! That's insane! Let's hope it warms up for August :) Did you end up checking out the launch at Pine Portage?
  11. Love big lakers, that last one is a cow!
  12. When you save a waypoint on the unit, it saves to the unit memory, not the SD card. The only way to get them on the SD card is to export them.. If you haven't exported them, they aren't being written to the card.
  13. Navionics and the rest of the companies advise you don't do this. There is potential to render the card useless. Then you're out $200, lol. Exporting them to a blank SD card is really easy, as is importing them into your new unit (Should find them automatically after it boots up).. One nice thing I like about the HB units, dual card slots.. One for the map, one for recordings, etc.. SD cards are cheap, I wouldn't take the chance.
  14. Let's hope Lakemaster comes out with a chip with Canadian coverage, that's a HUGE market they aren't covering. Or have 'follow the contour' work with Navionics, etc..
  15. I wouldn't be saving waypoints to your Navionics/HotMaps card.. If you need to transfer use a blank card to copy them over.
  16. His system is now pulling half the amperage as it did being 12v. There's no need to run new wire especially when there's 4ft between the motor and the batteries.
  17. Can't use follow the contour in Canada, the Lakemaster chip doesn't have any Canadian coverage.
  18. I've caught more walleyes this year while fishing for crappie then I ever have before. Not complaining however, lol.
  19. We used to slam them in front of the lighthouse in St.Catharines when I was a kid. Little Cleos, etc... Anything you could cast super far.. Great fish to target with the kids, they are ferocious and if you've found one, you've found a 1000, lol. Also right below the Peace Bridge in Fort Erie as well.. Love silver bass.
  20. No prob bud, I just did that exact upgrade this spring (12V PD system out, 24V Terrova in) it's been working great so far. Didn't touch the wiring.
  21. Wiring will be fine, you have less amperage going through the line with a 24v system compared to your old 12v system...
  22. Nice snakes Steve!
  23. Enjoy it bud!
  24. Big gator by billmarz, on Flickr
  25. Thread tag states is a Simoniz S1600.
