  1. You'll kill a single battery quick if you're on the trolling motor all day. Your best bet is definitely two batteries, separating your TM battery and the starting/house battery.
  2. Buy the license online, print, done. What am I missing here?
  3. 3 group 31 AGMs. 2 for the Terrova and 1 for starting/house battery. Both Helix 12s get their own distribution box and wiring to the house battery to avoid voltage drops.
  4. I still see people overpricing 15 year old boats like crazy. I wouldn't be buying anything in this current market. Although if I was a seller, I'd get rid of whatever I wanted to sell ASAP.
  5. A guide your first day will be invaluable.
  6. You can't provide paper copies of your vaccination in order to cross back into Canada?
  7. Yes. The ArriveCan app is super simple. https://www.canada.ca/en/public-health/services/publications/diseases-conditions/fully-vaccinated-travellers-entering-canada-covid-19.html
  8. Been running Convectors for probably 10+ years, I love them compared to the Coldwaters. Although if you're a do it once kind of guy, Tekotas are the easy choice. 500/600/700 pick your poison.
  9. Pressure changes can really get fish moving. My fav time to fish is right before a big storm.
  10. OOS fish isn't the same as an open season fish with no possession limit. OOS fish goes back immediately. Wanna take a pic with your 50in beauty that's in season but has a 0 possession limit? All good.
  11. You can power the unit up without being in the water, once it's on hit the power button, scroll up to 'sonar' and make sure it's off. Then you can mess around with the unit without worrying about your transducer heating up from being out of the water. This way you can test everything beforehand.
  12. Dropping $2500 on a '21 kicker that never worked properly from the get go would be a hard pass for this guy.
  13. I run my pellet smoker in anything. Winter time I move it into the garage so I don't have to keep cleaning the snow off it.
  14. Pros: Simple to use, set it and forget it. No need to babysit it for hours on end, just make sure the hopper is full. Cons: Some people say the food isn't 'smokey' enough. These are usually guys that have/had stick burners. Although if you want more 'smoke' flavour a lot of people toss a smoke tube in and that usually solves the problem. Mine wasn't cheap however, probably around $1000CAD after it was all said and done. But like my BBQs, I do my research and buy a decent one. I've still got a Vermont Castings BBQ I bought in '06, still going strong.
  15. Really gotta figure out what you want. Pellet, stick burner, something else. I've got a Grilla Chimp, extremely happy with it. Lots of good choices out there these days.
  16. Check the winds and fish Erie. One of the best lakes you'll ever find.
  17. Gotcha. I think we've all done the shake and pray before lol!
  18. Yeah sucks you gotta time when you get into Wawa now, you never had to before, lol!
